GingerrrFox Posted 27 June 2014 Posted 27 June 2014 Mrs is Dutch so I'll be supporting them, mainly just to save myself the ear ache.
Callabinho Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 I support Germany anyway, so sorry Ryad it's not Algeria!
MC Prussian Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 I'd love to see Lawro being proved wrong on a couple of his predictions: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28050115
Ric Flair Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 I've Colombia and Switzerland in the sweepstake that's a £320 pot. Algeria for obvious reasons. Thoroughly enjoyed watching Chile and France this World Cup as well.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Well Algeria are gone. So my Argentina/Messi combo is what I'm now focussing on.
Beliall Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Columbia! Money wise I backed brasil/ neymar before it started... I still want columbia to win.
cambridgefox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Columbia have been the team that have deserved their place in the QF.played well throughout.
AKCJ Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Looking at who is left, I think that Columbia are the side I would least like to play.
ScouseFox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Holland Argentina France and Columbia would be the ideal semi finalists from here.

Guest MattP Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 Looking at who is left, I think that Columbia are the side I would least like to play. I was thinking the same thing watching them Saturday. Outstanding football team, if they can get past the hosts which is always a horrific task, the tournament is their for the taking for them when you look at their recent H2H with Argentina.
ScouseFox Posted 2 July 2014 Posted 2 July 2014 columbia are the only team who haven't looked lethargic and struggled to drag themselves over the line in each game. holland and france have both looked sensational in parts but again both struggled in their 16s, although the dutch could possibly blame the heat. belgium have been solid but uninspiring and are yet to play a team of any real quality, now they've got the argies you'd think they'll need to improve somewhat to get through that. germany, brazil and argentina have all done well "enough" so far, but all face much tougher tests now. gonna be an interesting last 8.
Finnaldo Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 If Colombia can do it, it would be unreal. I was sure it was a fiver down the drain when we drew for the sweepstake, but if they can get to the final it's £40 guaranteed, and £100 if they win. Definitely feel it now, just got to keep it up against Brazil and France/Germany and I'll be chuffed
Guest MattP Posted 3 July 2014 Posted 3 July 2014 I've got £20 on Colombia at 40/1 from the start of the tournament, I'm fearing a dodgy referee on Saturday that sends it down....
