Higher or lower?

    • Ban the bastard for life
    • He's misunderstood, leave him alone
    • All goals scored by Suarez at the World Cup should be retrospectively expunged, and all results altered accordingly. Bit desperate this one ð???

Seriously?

That's brilliant.

I wouldn't have thought so as I say if they do what's the point in even giving him 9 games, the Uruguyan FA will get 8 matches played between now and late October, defo before the Copa next summer. so he may as well just get 4 months,

If he moves to spain it seems about right.

If he stays then I think the fact he can play against us twice is hugely unfair lol.

Sort it out fifa.

Where is the option for "about right". He's banned from games but it won't be the end of it. Liverpool will deal with it internally, as will Adidas who may drop him.

Pretty sure there are only a limited amount of friendly dates international teams can arrange games for.

Yea, because they've done an absolutely grand job of that in the past. You're right about Adidas though, I'd think they'll almost certainly drop him now.

Oi Grandad be quiet.

If you want discuss it and defend the guy, trot along to a Liverpool forum, where you should be.

He should of been banned until after January.

As its his 3rd time he should have been punished alot more serious, 4 months is nothing imo, i even chose ban for life in the poll.

Its frustrating because he is a brilliant striker.

He is playing in the world cup which is the biggest football tournament shown world wide and so his actions are seen everywhere and just simply no way to act.

That's a brilliant idea! Though it pretty much guarantees he'll score a hatrick in both games against us though.

As if it wasn't guaranteed anyway...

Slightly lenient but a decent response by FIFA's standards. Nine international plus about 12 domestic games assuming he stays at Liverpool. I like the total football ban element of it too rather than just games. Only danger is it gets reduced on appeal.

It was guaranteed anyway. Loves a goal against relegation battlers. A little shy on the goal scoring front when it comes to the top sides though (no goals against the top 4 in the league last season.)

On the other hand, if the appeal is rejected im sure the punishment is extended?

John Aldridges comments

"There may be some people want to turn their back on him, but I think the club will try and stick by him. In a Liverpool shirt he's been impeccable. they just have to work with him, work on whatever triggers it off and make sure it never happens again."

Maybe the should just put a muzzle on him when he's playing John.

Higher, I would have gone for a season's ban.

October will soon come round, basically he can he can have a nice three month holiday with his family, then four weeks intense training and he's ready to go.

Any Liverpool fan who tries to defend him is a scumbag.

He should have been banned for good IMO. He can't help himself, its clearly an issue and he'll do it again I suspect. Once is not nice, more than once is finished.. IMO.

Nice to see the Uruguayans are appealing it....

Would love Liverpool to appeal it and it to get increased. That'd be beautiful.

I heard at the end of Match of the Day, that the Uruguayan FA intend to appeal the decision, Alan Hansen said that the problem was they don't think there is a problem.

Can you imagine if any of us bit someone at work? We'd be sectioned for Christ's sake.

I don't think it would come under Mental Health Law. But criminal law. We'd be banged up. No doubt about it.

I'm amazed how liberal people's attitudes on something like this are. Then again, these days I guess I shouldn't be.

Please stop being so dense, he's playing a contact sport. Am I right in saying you're a nurse? Might have completely the wrong person here but are you competing against other nurses physically to give care as quickly as possible at the highest level of nursing there is, where you have billions of people watching?
