harpendenfox Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Still 47 days until our Premier return. Too early to debate the starting XI, but time for some nonsense. What should the final songs be to whip the already expectant Citeh crowd into a frenzy of excitement? It's cheesy I know, but I'm looking for some Carnaval de Paris. Clearly a bit of Kasabian might be relevant too. And do any of you remember a song played about half an hour before the first game (vs Watford) at the Walkers? It was something about homecoming, or coming home, or the like, and although it was hardly stirring, it actually felt right for a significant moment in the Club's history. Something evocative like that might do the trick.
Fox92 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Looking at the title on the new topics section, I thought the kick off time had been changed at first glance.
davieG Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Back in the PL after 10 years, new players to see, a full house surely you don't need to music to the crowd up for it?
Soup Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 The Sound of silence by Simon and Garfunkel would go down a treat.
Bayfox Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Republica- Ready to go. Listen to the man, he speaks sense.
wight88 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Hopefully something loud that I can hear while I'm swigging up in the turny
Fox92 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 My choices would be like the old days... Carnaval de Paris, Let Me Entertain You, Ready To Go and definitely a bit of Kasabian. Probably Club Foot or Underdog. Crowd rarely get up for it at home games. We're going to need it this year, last thing we want is to be drowned out by opposition fans because 3000 of them will be visiting most, if not all, games.
Nick Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 If it's 'Let Me Entertain You' by Robbie Williams I will not be responsible for my actions.
Nick Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 The players should come out of the tunnel to 'Walk' by Pantera which I know will undoubtedly be a popular choice.
Fox92 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 The players should come out of the tunnel to 'Walk' by Pantera which I know will undoubtedly be a popular choice. If that's played I will not be responsible for my actions.
Mark_w Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 The players should come out of the tunnel to 'Walk' by Pantera which I know will undoubtedly be a popular choice. Let's sign Rob Van Dam.
Nick Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 If that's played I will not be responsible for my actions. What made me laugh is that I posted my Robbie comment at the same time as you did - I honestly hadn't read your post suggesting it - genuine coincidence!
AoWW Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 There's far too many people in this thread not taking responsibility for their own actions!
Fox92 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 What made me laugh is that I posted my Robbie comment at the same time as you did - I honestly hadn't read your post suggesting it - genuine coincidence! I'll let you off then
shade Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 If that's played I will not be responsible for my actions. I won't be responsible for my actions either, standing up and walking out the stadium in disgust.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 Lets go the whole hog and get Showaddywaddy back. Or 'Darts'..
Larry_LCFC Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 The players should come out of the tunnel to 'Walk' by Pantera which I know will undoubtedly be a popular choice. As a certain Simon Cowell would say, what the bloody hell was that?!?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 How about no music, but real fans singing real songs and chants, creating an atmosphere with banter back and forth with the Everton fans? Old school I know, but it was so much better back the. & better than the bloody music drowning us out like it does now.
Silverdaz Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 The music adds to the whole atmosphere of the game hearing a particular song which meant the players were coming out shortly
sphericalfox Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 There's far too many people in this thread not taking responsibility for their own actions! Don't worry we forgive you.
