Izzet is God Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 BBC reporting Micah Richards wants a loan. Anyone b interested in that? Cant see him or Rodwell in much of their 1st team again this season. I'd love to see both join us, won't happen though
Banks Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 If it won't happen then what's the point of suggesting it how about another central midfielder? Jack Cork of Southampton or Morrison of West Ham?
David Guiza Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 Didn't Nige say something along the lines of being wary of loan signings in the Prem, owing to inflated fees that come with them. IE whatever it was that Everton paid Chelsea for Lukaku. I'm sure they've been considered.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 Carl Jenkinson at arsenal could be on the move with their two recent signings. Would offer us experience, although he's still a young lad and would probably fit in well in that respect. Would certainly challenge RDL at first choice right back, but whether we need more options there I don't know, we have cover with Liam I guess.

He also said we wouldn't have heard of most of their targets and alluded that we'd only be getting in 3 or 4 players.

Moore isn't as good a defender as RDL and certainly doesn't bomb forward like him, if we lose RDL for a few games we have no proper cover.
artursteppe Posted 29 July 2014 Author Posted 29 July 2014 Ignasi Miquel is training with Arsenal, I think, and hoping Wenger will use him. His contract ran out on 30th July. No news of a new contract there yet. Maybe we are waiting for Wenger to decide what to do with him. Would be free if Wenger doesn't want him and Nigel does. Could explain why we haven't made a move yet for another central defender.

He just needs to get fit. Hes only young and has alot of potential!
Callabinho Posted 29 July 2014 Posted 29 July 2014 Luke Garbutt from Everton! H is I'm my Brothers housemates best friend, I've already asked him to pester him.
dayday Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 I think it's almost certain we are going to go down the loan front,i would rather have it this way than Nigel panic buy.
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Remember all, Premier League clubs can only loan 2 domestic loans per season so you have to make them count. A great example would be Everton last year who took Lukaku and Barry on loan last year. So with the greatest of respect the likes of Michael Keane, Izzy Miguel, Luke Garbett would not be good signings - you need to take on experienced Premier League or at least players with massive potential.
kingfox Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Redknapp this morning thinks that we could well dip into the loan market within the next two weeks. How many Premier League loans are you allowed to have? Some teams had 2/3 last season.
Nick Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 QPR trying to get Wilf Zaha on 1 year loan apparantly - I still think he'd be great here under Pearson.

artursteppe Posted 15 August 2014 Author Posted 15 August 2014 I think we'll get the signings first that we want, see where we are, then get two real quality loanees to top off a very competitive squad. New contracts and freebies done, Ulloa and a couple more to come, then a couple of loanees, defenders maybe.

kingfox Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 I see we can have up to four loans. Dipping into the Bundesliga or Serie A probably wouldn't go a miss, teams in those leagues tend to have hidden talents or big squads.
Fox92 Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 We won't get a loan from another PL club. As Nigel said, it doesn't make sense because the large loan fee we'd have to pay can just be used to buy a permanent player.

I refuse to believe we can't pick up a decent player on loan from a top 6 team for a decent amount.

How many Premier League loans are you allowed to have? Some teams had 2/3 last season. Hold up. Harry Redknapp, the QPR manager, think that Leicester will dip into the loan market? I can't stand that twat. Wish he'd keep his nose out of other sides' business. The sooner he retires, the better.
