I think the biggest compliment is that for such an ubiquitous presence she's never sounded cheesy in my opinion

Early Madonna is really good. Dress You Up and Material Girl are my favourites.

Amazing performer and arguably the best female pop star of all time. Get in to the Grove and Vogue are absolute classics. 

 

The last 15 years she's been truly terrible but the amount of hits she had in the 80's and 90's I'm sure history will paper over that.
