A double LL is pronounced similar to a y in English. Preceeded with a "U" means the start of his name sounds like "Oi" Nope, it's a sort of j/z sound for double l's in Spanish. oo-jo-ah

In Spanish you are correct, however in Argentinian two 'll's is pronounced as a double 'ss' making his surname Ussoa Maybe one of our worthwhile BBC journalists could actually ask him, then we would know.
