Webbo Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 I'm sure these are hilarious in Swissish but we're English. Unless they can be translated by talking loudly we're not likely to get it Alex.

Haydos Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Isn't Schwinesteiger, when translated directly = Pig mounter? That really is rather unfortunate. I thought that was all a bit of rubbish. I might be completely wrong but I think I read that there wasn't really a literal translation but it was something close to pig climber/oversee-er. Someone who minds pigs basically. Buzz Killington yo!
David Guiza Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Am I the only one that doesn't get the message on the t-shirt? I'm sure there was someone similar who played for Rangers/Celtic and the fans used to chant 'You're s**t and you know you are'.
Aus Fox Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Not football but in the AFL Brad Dick, Steele Sidebottom and Tyson Goldsack all played for the same team for a while
Guest Bilo Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Has anyone mentioned Deportivo Wanka yet? They make it worse with their kits to be honest.
Beliall Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 They make it worse with their kits to be honest. check out lamby in 40 years time
Stadt Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 I thought it was QPR that signed over the hill has beens.

I'm sure there was someone similar who played for Rangers/Celtic and the fans used to chant 'You're s**t and you know you are'.The words on that shirt are words to a song sung by Millwall fans for Shittu. No points for guessing it's sung to the tune of Sloop John B. As for the Celtic player, you must be thinking of Rafael Scheidt ("Shite" ), no?

Ashley Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 Watford have or had a youth player called Shitta Rod Fani
Jordan Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argel_****s must be the grand champion of "unfortunate" names. This thread also reminds me of the urban legend of a player getting capped for Algeria in the 1970s named Ars Bandeet.
Stadt Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 I've always found the name Hanno Balitsch quite funny.
Jimothy Posted 8 August 2014 Posted 8 August 2014 There's a myth that there was an Algerian player in the 70's called Ars Bandeet.
