You can't rule it out in today's football unfortunately, it's naive to take things like that a face value.

There's a lot more to be seen in a players personality that goes with comments like these and even then we don't actually know the guy. I meant more generally, not just you. Whatever a player says or does you'll have fans saying both of the things I mentioned. I saw it on a forum when discussing Lukaku's move to Everton, some people were saying they were glad he was going if he didn't want to try and earn a first team place, others were praising his attitude for wanting to go somewhere to play first team football and develop. Nobody knows the reason behind it so it's one of those things that seems stupid to dwell on.

Moreover, Max Power has reiterated what I said earlier. When all things are considered, from the news breaking to today is five days with numerous sources saying he has/is signing. If this was a Campbell situation where two months later we are still waiting...then I'd be concerned.
