AKCJ Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Yet we're giving a two-year deal to a guy 3 years older than him... Hardly comparable.
Fox in the North Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Yet we're giving a two-year deal to a guy 3 years older than him... I know what you're saying, in an ideal world, I'd have loved Lloyd to have stayed on, but Cambiasso is hardly an awful replacement. We may have lost one of our modern legends, but we've gained a world recognised one. I know he plays in a different position but he may well provide the boost in quality that we need to stay up.
kingfox Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Wait... did you really tweet on some pathetic 'parody' account then post it here with 3 's? Yes, but everyone knows when it comes to proper laughs, I'm your guy.
Woollett's Wellies Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 In property terms.... Lloyd= A Victorian terrace in South Wigston. Occasionally cosy but with mice in the skirting board. Cambiasso= Chatsworth House with the Capability Brown ornamental gardens.
lgfualol Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Lloyd was great but we would be paying a guy who cant do football but can run
JJS84 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 In property terms.... Lloyd= A Victorian terrace in South Wigston. Occasionally cosy but with mice in the skirting board. Cambiasso= Chatsworth House with the Capability Brown ornamental gardens. That really paints the picture
biggs Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 whatever happened to the term: 'no news is good news'
Captain... Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 whatever happened to the term: 'no news is good news' It died out with the internet, now if you don't have updates every 5 minutes the sky falls in.
Tommythefox06 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Can't see that he's passed a medical as no one at the training ground was aware of him having been there!! One interesting thing is the owners are apparently in town, so perhaps they are here to welcome/oversee a big signing!!
Craig Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Whilst that may be the case, the first Premier League match taking place on Saturday may have something to do with that...
Tommythefox06 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Whilst that may be the case, the first Premier League match taking place on Saturday may have something to do with that... True, but they are due at the training ground tomorrow I think ....

ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Medical could be anywhere, doesn't have to be here. It will be interesting to know what he has done all summer because even if he did sign, he may not be fit enough to play for a month.
Robin JD Popley Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Cambiasso, Drinkwater and James. Few midfields better in England.
Jamiebux Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Lloyd was great but we would be paying a guy who cant do football but can run But could that boy run!!!!
STUHILL Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Very excited by this whole deal! Hope we get Deeney and then a versatile defender who can cover RB or LB if needed and another winger. That would do be fine! Game on!!!
st albans fox Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Cambiasso, Drinkwater and James. Few midfields better in England. You might be a tad biased. Let's wait to see how the two get on against the big boys before judging. Fwiw, I think James has the attributes to be a very good player at this level whilst DD's confidence issues could well resurface.
Tommythefox06 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Medicals happen in hospitals not the training ground. Yes, but most of the signings they have been carried out by doctors who come to the training ground, if anything untoward they then go to the spire hospital for any scans etc...
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Cambiasso, Drinkwater and James. Few midfields better in England. You sure? Gerrard Henderson coutinho Arteta wilshire Ramsey Fletcher herrera Mata Fernandiho yaya silva Fabregas Ramires oscar Barry mcarthey barkley Dembele Eriksen a n other There's a few
Robin JD Popley Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Don't get me wrong everyone, there are plenty of talented midfields and yes, I am biased but for similar skill sets these three could make a big mark on the league. I expect two of the three to launch their international careers in the not too distant future, and playing alongside the most decorated Argentinian of all time? Not bad. Not forgetting Mahrez, Knockaert, Albrighton, King (and Hammond should he stay). At least from our club's perspective - we haven't a midfield this strong since the days of MON.
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 A few sources have said the medical was taking place in London I think? F**K OFF QPR!!! Or have we stopped worrying now?
