STUHILL Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Be gutted if he left but from his point of view, he may want to be playing each week and realises he won't be here. Shame but understandable! Wow, we need to do a lot of business this week!!
Stadt Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Dawson is incredibly overrated, he's guaranteed to make atleast one mistake a game.
MHC Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Dawson is incredibly overrated, he's guaranteed to make atleast one mistake a game. He's still better then Wasilewski.
BoyJones Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Presumably Was will play tomorrow night. Have to see if he give an extended (farewell style) clap at the end of the game to the supporters. Personally don't want to see him go.
Bettsj2 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 He's still better then Wasilewski. Not by a long way.
Gio Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Not by a long way. Completely agree to be honest. Would definitely take Was over Dawson. 2 seasons ago Dawson was brilliant for spurs and made very few mistakes but last season he was absolutely awful and a complete liability. So i suppose it actually depends what sort of form Dawson is in but based on last season, no thanks
Sharpe's Fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Wasyl is fantastic cover for either Motgan or Moore. Both will get injured before Upson is back and he will play.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I still believe that the wage cap of £30,000 per week, will not allow us to bring in real quality signings. It's an awesome amount of money to us, but pretty much peanuts for Premiership players, that make a notable difference to a side. I am sure that the above, is a massive handicap to Pearson, bringing in the calibre players he wants, and needs. If he can eventually get Cambiaso to sign, he will have performed a miracle.
Lestoh Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 At what stage do footballers make the transition from human to '£30k-a-week-isn't-enough'?
Christoph Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I'd rather keep him. I thought he did very well on the tail end of last season and seemed as solid as Morgan, rarely saw people get past him.
MHC Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 At what stage do footballers make the transition from human to '£30k-a-week-isn't-enough'? 30 grand a year would suffice for most people.
Tielemans63 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 He was at Anderlecht for a few years wasn't he? Maybe his family still live in Belgium? Might explain the move if it is actually a possibility.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Does this mean the alliance is over? I'd just bought a pin badge as well. No surely it would mean the alliance would be stronger than ever
EGBFitness Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Can't say I believe this, he seems to like it here and how can a player judge how the season is going to go by 2 games? It's going to be a long season and I'm sure he will get plenty of game time with injuries/ suspensions/ rotation.
iancognito Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I wouldn't mind losing Wasilewski if we were signing Michael Dawson as his replacement. Michael Dawson..there's got to be a better option than that?...I'd prefer GTF at CB. That said Dawson did come through the same Forest set up as Wes, so they know each other's game too.
orangecity23 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I believe that Dawson is originally from Yarkshire, so might fancy Hull as it's closer to his family. IIRC, his brother used to play for Hull also.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Dawson meant to be a great bloke to work with..the archetypal 'model pro', so to speak. Another good acquisition for Hull IMO. I still believe that the wage cap of £30,000 per week, will not allow us to bring in real quality signings. I know what you mean. I don't outta bed for anything less than 50k per week.
Buzzell Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Dawson to Hull. Brilliant signing for Bruce if he signs. As for Was, can't see it being true. He's a brilliant player as back up so having him in the squad is vital unless we bring in a replacement.
st albans fox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 There really is no point in getting into a discussion on how much 30k a week is. any more news on whether ŵasyl might be off?
Hack Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Miquel back on loan?? No. I would suggest seeing he is a free agent a loan is not correct and second I think we are likely if needing another CB it would be a more experienced player.
weller54 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Michael Dawson would have been a perfect signing for us.. Why can't we compete with the likes of bloody Hull???
dannythefox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Michael Dawson would have been a perfect signing for us.. Why can't we compete with the likes of bloody Hull??? if we got Dawson Moore wouldn't play we need someone whos happy to play a part when needed. And not on 40+ a week.

The average premier league wage is £31k. Getting some decent players in for 30k (if it's even true) shouldn't be a problem.
