Rhysm Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Think they would stretch to giving him a better seat then that if it was him!
hesapeepingtom Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Is it **** him, that guy is a poor man's chris wood who is already a poor man's chris wood himself
GH1 Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Wood plus cash (depends how much) but I don't get this one at all
WhenYourSmilingLCFC Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Wood was there too watch Tommy Smith. New Zealand team mates.
Simmo86 Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Makes sense it being him if he went to watch Tommy Smith.
ian_marshall Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 That definitely is not Chris Wood. He may well have been at the game, but that photo isn't him.
maddog Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 This must be a joke and a smokescreen for someone else we are after. Signed by Forest for 1 million five years ago. Loaned out. Released. Signed for Ipswich 1 year ago for free. Now he's worth 8 million!?!? Absolute codswallop. A journeyman pro and there is no way we will sign him for 8 million quid. Complete tripe.
Tommythefox06 Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 To be fair the guy in the glasses looks like his dad !!
itsaknockeart Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 interesting post from Ipswich fans http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/25692/mcgoldrick-%C3%828m-leicester-target Almost universal praise for McGoldrick in those comments. However, at least four of those commenting seem to envisage the possibility of Leicester sending Vardy and cash for him as realistic so maybe their judgement ain't all that.
Guest Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Do not want this to happen. And that is not Chris wood. Some of you need glasses.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Someone is worth what a club will pay for them. Like it or not, McCormack at £11m - between two Championship clubs - has set the bar for striker transfers. We've paid £7m+ for Ulloa remember. The market we're currently in is inflated. Other clubs know we have more money now we're in the Prem. Forest have paid £5.5m for a striker who has scored a fair few at League One level. Wood isn't interested in leaving though. Really? He said he wanted to stay and fight for his place... but a cynic might suggest he's hardly going to come out publicly and say anything different..............
Hack Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Again..the Ipswich fans love him. I'm convinced he'd score goals in the Prem. Regarding the transfer fee.. Well everyone is having to pay over the odds for players who's parent clubs don't want them to leave. That's how it is. If we want him, we have to stump up. Col, Great post. Again this whole thing about the abuse DM is getting is because he is from the championship and not a sexy name from a foreign league or the PL. All these people saying they would prefer Waris or Slimani for example for the same or similar prices are just idiots really. How many of them have seen either of those players play? None,oh wait I forgot KingFox. I am sure that all those knockers of McGoldrick would be claiming one of the overseas strikers would be a saviour. I am convinced that most of the complaints is because it wont be as good for their Football Manager performance having these players!!
Hack Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Cottee cost £500,000 .... slightly different. That was a very large fee back then. You can't say 500k then is not comparable to some many millions now!
Kitchandro Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Really? He said he wanted to stay and fight for his place... but a cynic might suggest he's hardly going to come out publicly and say anything different.............. I was being a little sarcastic
Raw Dykes Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 I'm pretty sure it is Chris Wood. http://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/316547/chris-wood-was-in-the-away-end-today-with-alan-lee/#22

benpicko Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 I'm pretty sure it is Chris Wood. http://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/316547/chris-wood-was-in-the-away-end-today-with-alan-lee/#22 Still doesn't look that much like him, I'd take a swap with McGoldrick for him though if we get somebody else too
Austin Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Still doesn't look like him How shit is that jacket? Odd really, that I do think that's him... But I'm looking at the picture and thinking it's still not him!
Hack Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 I'm pretty sure everyone saw Slimani play at the world cup How many games? Is that enough to decide he is a better player?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 It's Chris Woods obviously doh . . . . . Still doesn't look like him
benpicko Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 It's Chris Woods obviously doh . . . . . Still doesn't look like him I've edited it because it obviously resembles him somewhat but there's something majorly off about it, like an alternative universe Chris Wood or something
