Jace Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 A fireman running a handyman/building business in your spare time? That is also an assumption. Unfortunately not, I cannot reveal the nature of the skilled government profession as its disclosure on any type of social media could result in disciplinary proceedings and lead to my dismissal. The business in my own time is a mobile DJ business
Harry - LCFC Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 Easy to forget that the whole 'mini wembley' design was all the rage back when it was being built. How was anyone to know how tastes would have changed more than a decade later? On the atmosphere, I think stadium acoustics do play a part and the club could do more to help. But there's also strong social factors at play what with the price of going to see a game ruling out a lot of poorer people, and I'm generalising a bit, but those pissed up lower working class fans who can no longer afford to go used to be responsible for a lot of the noise. Now we have middle class families and a whole different set of rules, both written and unwritten, that drive more polite and safer but quieter behaviours. Also you've got loud pre-match and goal music which is very effective at muting a crowd. Pretty accurate I think. Supporter demographics are surely playing a part, certain types of people are just more likely to sing than others. The mindset generally is not to sing, people go in to the stadium expecting not to get involved on the whole. Difficult to change that.

jonthefox Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 Could be worse, we could have Burnley's wooden seats.[/quotte Been replaced haven't they.
C-man Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 We lack parking closer to the ground. Wouldn't that make traffic even worse? We should be encouraging more use of public transport where possible. (Fair play you come a long way but there's some right lazy fvckers that could walk, get a bus etc)

I know mate ridiculous you can't have a right to even say where you work anymore
demon_dog Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Not sure how people can say there are restricted views. Unlike filbo there are no posts or pillars in the way. S what restricts the view. Come and sit in my seat and you will soon find out. The barrier at the bottom of the stairs near the exit to sk3, believe or not it restricts the view of goalmouth action especially at corners. If you check citys website to buy tickets it clearly states "restricted view". They still sell them at the same price though!
bluesbrothers Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 The glass front looks really nice it is just a shame most people don't see it on the walk in, if we made a bit more of the walk down Raw Dykes Road and that corner as that is the first bit most people see it would be better. The arseholes at the planning committee allowing the building of a massive hotel blocking the view of half of the stadium on the canal approach hardly helped the "first impression" from that side of the ground.

Bamba's Babes Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 I hate this tacky flags they've pinned around the top of the stands, what are they all about?

RoboFox Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 We need a new motto, something that'll really shake up the opposition walking out to that pitch through that tunnel...
Chug Laguna Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 More skittish live foxes on the pitch and in the stands, randomly
jammie82uk Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 I hate this tacky flags they've pinned around the top of the stands, what are they all about? They was put there for the party atmosphere against Doncaster
Jace Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 We need a new motto, something that'll really shake up the opposition walking out to that pitch through that tunnel... Brilliant.
TrentFox Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 We need a new motto, something that'll really shake up the opposition walking out to that pitch through that tunnel... Can't speak for the opposition, but it has certainly disturbed me on soooo many levels!
sly1 Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 If we really do have £180,000,000 think of the stadium we could build! Every player in the world would want to call it home ... just a shame we wont have anything left to sign them with Love the look at that stadium
sly1 Posted 11 September 2014 Posted 11 September 2014 Swap the family stand and the kop. Problem solved
shailen Posted 12 September 2014 Posted 12 September 2014 No look what it's done to Arsenal. The new stadium plans started around their 03/04 invincible team and they more or less had a zero net spend which meant selling key players without replacing them to pay off debt. This ended in a trophyless 9 year period when if they had kept some of their players they would have won the PL one or two times at least. Obviously we aren't Arsenal, but it would dent our finances which could lead to lower investment into the team, and dent our future development. Plus this stadium is only 10 years old.
Stadt Posted 12 September 2014 Posted 12 September 2014 Even if we had a new stadium I'm sure people would moan that it's soulless and there's poor acoustics anyway
Chug Laguna Posted 12 September 2014 Posted 12 September 2014 I for one welcome our new silver robotic supporters
