lavrentis Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Was talking about this earlier. I would knock down the stadium and rebuild one which was not so generic, something unique. Anyone else agree I just can't seem to like our stadium
harpendenfox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 No. It's fine and what you are suggesting would be an extraordinary waste of money
Captain... Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Too expensive. We could stick some turrets on it and maybe a moat, and have some flashing lasers for a fraction of the cost, it would be unique and cool and everyone one loves lazers, and if some how lazers go out of fashion we could remove them and cover the outside in fur. We could get Leicester's own Xzibit, Mark Morrison, to come and do it and call it pimp my stadium.
Soup Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 I'd get a DeLorean, stick in a flux capacitor and find a road long enough to get up to 88.Tap in 2003 and try to stop the bastards knocking down our wonderfully home.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Give it 20 years when it's starting to look really run down and the big clubs have new stadiums, everyone will rave about how proper ours is
Bayfox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 how about we just never leave filbert st. just a suggestion like.
sylofox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 They should have built a 40k replica of filbo. Tight ground players within spitting distance and a hostile welcome. A ground away teams hate coming too. But no we get a useless bowl.

PAPA LAZAROU Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 We could paint the outside to look like the Colosseum in Rome . Get the stewards to dress up in Gladiators outfits and have fights to the death at half time on the pitch , organised by the Birch dressed as Nero. I like to see any of the so called big clubs top that.

............... Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Filbert Street is long gone. Get over it.
foxfan92 Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 If we really do have £180,000,000 think of the stadium we could build! Every player in the world would want to call it home ... just a shame we wont have anything left to sign them with

Kitchandro Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 No need to rip it down, that's just crazy. All it needs is a lot of redevelopment over several years. Look how different a lot of old grounds are now compared to 20-25 years ago. Old Trafford for example, St James' Park. It is a shit ground though, no denying that.
Jace Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Hopefully when they decide to expand which must be very likely if we stay up next season after the Rugby World Cup hopefully the design won't be cheap looking and add more depth to the design. Hopefully they won't use the same architect who designed the latest Cardiff Stadium expansion

Hopefully they won't use the same architect who designed the latest Cardiff Stadium expansion I can't think of a stadium built in the last 20 years which has a decent design, so I couldn't see anyone doing a better job with ours. Would love all 4 stands to get a makeover so they're all unique and close to the pitch. The ground wouldn't need to be much bigger, just better. The Cardiff stand would actually look good if it wasn't red, at least it's got a separate roof and not that disgusting modern thing where the roof just slopes down to join with the rest of it like at the KC Stadium.
foxoffderby Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 The owners have just paid a fortune buying it out right. Yes its basic and looks like any other new build ground. Our last one lasted 100 odd years I'm pretty sure this one will too. We will just have to improve and upgrade what we've got
Kitchandro Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 An all standing Kop where the front row is 3 centimetres from the goal net would help.
MooseBreath Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Think we should do do like the old dell with the gradual increase in rows, only all the way round the stadium so it looks like a phooking spiral and eventually the seats turn upside down like a roller coaster and you have to be strapped in looking straight down at the pitch.
