davieG Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Not able to listen to this so don't know if it's credible. Topic title taken fron the newsnow link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29231620 Leicester City: Have Foxes laid foundations for success? Use accessible player and disable flyout menus Leicester City has been revitalised by their owners since 2010 but have they laid the foundations for continued success in the Premier League? BBC Sport's Alex South looks at how the club has avoided the mistakes made by some rivals, and hears why the Foxes "could be enormous".
foxoffderby Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 The greatest thing the owners have done is to buy the stadium and clear the debts. It gives us a fantastic base to build upon
Oxfordfox83 Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Could be? We already are... Nah mate, we're MASSIVE. Enormous is different, innit.
ealingfox Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Well we're going to be top 5 in 3 years remember?
lgfualol Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 We're really getting carried away with that win against Stoke
Houdini Logic Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 The greatest thing the owners have done is to buy the stadium and clear the debts. It gives us a fantastic base to build upon Keeping out of the football is their greatest feat. for me
VLC86 Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 We should have a round of applauce in the 70th minute as 70 is also an enormous number.
Banks Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Nah mate, we're MASSIVE. Enormous is different, innit.
Banks Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Keeping out of the football is their greatest feat. for me Keeping Pearson too.
purpleronnie Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 So it was birch who said we could be enormous then, a nice unbiased statement....
AKCJ Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 We should have a round of applauce in the 70th minute as 70 is also an enormous number. lol
AKCJ Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Have really 'filled the squad with expensive signings'? Ulloa aside, nobody cost more than a million.
Jace Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Look at us know compared to 5 years ago, fan base is much bigger, club foundations and assets are far greater, turnover is significantly higher and the players we have on the pitch are a far greater standard. Quite happy for us to stay as we are for the next 10 years as we are to be honest playing competitive Premiership football and competing for a domestic cup would be fantastic.
Claridge Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 lol We should have a round of applauce in the 70th minute as 70 is also an enormous number. Theres trillions of numbers,so isn't 70 a small number?
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Paul Merson claimed a "gillion" last night
MC Prussian Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Bit of a non-story. Merely an appetizer in news terms, it could've been so much more. The short report only scratches the surface and even gets the facts wrong ("fill the squad with expensive new signings" gives the impression we've spent big before the start of this season). They could've also mentioned that the Srivaddhanaprabhas are the main representatives, but that there are also other investors involved in that conglomerate that bought the club from Mandaric.
Babylon Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Have really 'filled the squad with expensive signings'? Ulloa aside, nobody cost more than a million. I think the reporter has been speaking to Sean Dyche. Speaking of whom... I almost choked on my lunch when on soccer Saturday Thommo said "He's spent nothing since he arrived, they have little to spend and you never hear him moan about it"
shade Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Theres trillions of numbers,so isn't 70 a small number? aren't there infinite numbers?
Babylon Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Perhaps the thread should be called... "We could be enormous, says the Birch".
Buzzell Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 We should have a round of applauce in the 70th minute as 70 is also an enormous number. Surely we should do the round of applause in the 90th minute? Would make more sense.
LanguedocFox Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 I wasted 152 seconds of my life watching that this morning. It's a non-story, with one glaring inaccuracy (the one about signing lots of expensive players).
Guest ttfn Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Perhaps the thread should be called... "We could be enormous, says the Birch". Exactly. Club ambassador in OTT statement about club shocker.
