Monk Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Alight folks I am down for the united game this weekend and it has been a while since I have done meals in the city. Is there anywhere you would recommend for brunch on the Sunday morning before the game? Non boozy - just need a good fry up before the game with family.
Rincewind Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 I have heard somewhere called Mooses Place is good.
Alf Bentley Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Could consider Jones Cafe on Queens Road: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Jones-cafe-bistro/117776088280542 Smallish but good quality, good range, OK prices, clean free (if not easy) parking in local streets - and 20-minute walk to stadium and train station.
Finnegan Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 There's a thread around here somewhere about some good places on Narborough Road...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Never been but don't a lot of people make a fuss about Croques near Mrs. Bridges (which in itself is a superb gaff)?
Alf Bentley Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 There's a thread around here somewhere about some good places on Narborough Road... Is he looking for a kebabish sort of brunch, then (read "minced rotting rat carcasses")?
Chug Laguna Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 What do you guys rock for brunch over there if not booze?
Guest MattP Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Went to Ms Bridges the other week after people raved about it on here and wasn't overly impressed, certainly not a patch on Newmans for town centre breakfast/lunch.
Smudge Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Bar Dos Hermanos http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g186334-d1758759-r185000237-Bar_Dos_Hermanos-Leicester_Leicestershire_England.html#REVIEWS
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Ruby Tuesdays in Birstall. I've lived here 4 years and the only time I went they'd shut 5 minutes earlier. It was the one time I needed a fry-up too (terrible hangover prior to the Arsenal match). Heard good things though
Monk Posted 17 September 2014 Author Posted 17 September 2014 Bar Dos Hermanos sounds awesome. Thanks for all the suggestions so far!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Joe's Greasy Spoon Caf. Last visited in 1953.
Finnegan Posted 17 September 2014 Posted 17 September 2014 Cafe 210 Narborough Road is the bizz. This man knows. Bonus points for blond fitty.
