Jace Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I went for a job there many years ago and they staged a large group interview with about 100-120 people. The first question was "Who here supports LCFC?" 90% put their hands up and were told "You'd be better off elsewhere as we need people who can remain detached from the games and the team affairs" Incredible. I wondered why the staff seem so detached and uninterested in the club. Its sad really but I suppose its a tried and tested theory with them and it doesn't work as well. You'd think it should be encouraged to be interested and passionate about your job.
RedHux Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 I'm assuming you all know this and have discussed it in length elsewhere and I'm just being blind. If so, ignore this...but it seems Roma are keeping an eye on your winger.http://www.gazzetta.it/notizie-ultima-ora/Calcio/Roma-Mahrez-algerino-Leicester/12-10-2014/2-A_001968901.shtml

KFS Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 £20m and we'll talk... If they can sell Lamela for big money, this post isn't even unreasonable.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 No time for it, is he looking for a reaction or just a genuine ****? I think the former, and he's going to need a bigger trawler.
Narborough_fox Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 http://www.francefootball.fr/news/l-as-roma-suit-mahrez/506306 AS Roma following Mahrez In legs with Algeria in the win in Malawi (0-2), Riyadh Mahrez is closely followed by AS Roma.Transferred last winter from Havre to Leicester City player scored his first goal in the Premier League against Burnley (2-2) at the 7th day. Reportedly, the team led by Rudi Garcia is interested in the attacking midfielder and could soon move forward on this issue. He finished last season with eight goals and 10 assists. With Algeria, he joined the group of Vahid Halilhodzic just before the World Cup and now has six selections (three assists) with El-Khedra . cjslcfc Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Nooooo not yet. At least give us a year of Riyad! Personally think he has the talent to go very far in football. Would be extremely surprised if he were still playing for us in 2 years time...

Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 8 goals and 10 assists Assume that must be the combined total from his first half of the season at Le Havre & the second half with us?
Dan Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Got to be. I can remember him scoring three times last season. His eye for a pass is amazing. Remember that pass against Blackpool for Vardy? Only for Vardy to smash it wide
Itsthejoeker Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Where's the hide Mahrez thread when you need it?!
ScouseFox Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Got to be. I can remember him scoring three times last season. His eye for a pass is amazing. Remember that pass against Blackpool for Vardy? Only for Vardy to smash it wide his ball into ulloa as a one two that the latter should've scored vs arsenal was ridiculous. some of his runs and passes are mesmerising, sadly we've all secretly known since about the second time we saw him play that he's way too good to stick around here the way he glides past men and jinks in between people whilst running at full speed is something I genuinely don't think I've ever seen at city before, in about 15 years of memory. he could play for roma tomorrow and if he played half as well as he can hed not look out of place.

He pulls out a pass like it most games. He'd have far more assists to his name if it wasn't for poor finishing. Schlupp v Everton, Nugent v Chelsea & Ulloa v Arsenal. People focus on the (lack of) finish, but who played the pass every time? He's a class act. I agree entirely with you. He could play for Roma.
ScouseFox Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 and probably the best thing about what i wrote up there is that i bet half the posts in the newcastle line ups thread don't even include him, such are our options with this squad. f uck the palace and burnley games this is a stupidly exciting time to be a city fan.* *unless Mahrez goes Roma in january

I wasn't at Stoke but by all accounts he had a bit of a stinker. I could sort of understand resting him. He's right for any scenario though. He's got the pace to rip teams apart on the counter and he's got the quality to undo a tight defence.

I was at Stoke and he was no more terrible than the rest of the team in the first half. We couldn't get him in the game. He didn't particularly do anything wrong. Agree with you though for this Saturday, assuming the team leave Friday to stay over, it's a lot to ask. Still think he will play though.
Stadt Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 If he could muster up any sort of power in his shots then he'd be gone already, I still love him though.
Solihullfox Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 Mahrez scored the second goal in a 3 - 0 win over Malawi last night - let's hope he comes back full of confidence...and fit.
GingerrrFox Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 I have a soft spot for Roma. However when it comes to Mahrez they can kindly **** off.
