Do people still think this backwardly or do they type in some sort of daze as they sit at home watching Top Gear repeats surrounded by their special brew can and pizza box decor? I can't say for sure, obviously, but you're assuming they're English based on their nontraditional name. They could well have English parents, be born into an English community and have grown up in English schools. But your ignorance prevents you from seeing that which makes me think, If that 'speaks volumes' then I reckon half the volume comes from your oafish gob.
