justfoxes Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Well time to pull things together again and get back to dominating and winning games but it also looks like after their game with Swansea Newcastle seem to be on the up but let's hope they slip up against us I'll go for a 1-2 win for city And think this is the team to win it !! Kasper Simpson Morgan Moore konch Mahrez Cambiasso drinky schlupp VARDY. Ulloa or Nugent
Guest LCFC_World Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Kasper Simpson Moore Morgan Schlupp Mahrez Cambiasso Drinky Vardy Ulloa Wood / Nugent I think wood deserves a chances and Konch needs a break. Vardy on the wing.
lcfcsnow Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Wood and Ulloa in the same team would be excruciating. Â Remember Mahrez and Schlupp will probably be coming back off international duty late again.
Freesolo Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 I think this is the only game so far this season that the home fans would like to see there team lose, they want Pardew out so badly.  I think this is away game we can get something out, confidence at Newcastle is as low as its been since they came back up  And the international break is just what we need IMOÂ
dogadug Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Kasper Simpson Moore Morgan Schlupp Mahrez Cambiasso Drinky Vardy Ulloa Wood / Nugent I think wood deserves a chances and Konch needs a break. Vardy on the wing. Â What is this?! Â Konch has been 1 of our better players this season - there is a 2 week international break, so doesn't need a further break. Wood and Ulloa would not work. Vardy on the wing does not work.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 We look better with a three in midfield. Drinkwater needs the freedom to pick it up and drive forward. He made some good passes yesterday. Kasper De laet Moore Morgan Konch Cambiasso James Drinkwater Mahrez Ulloa Vardy Regardless of Knockaerts indifferent form, he is am ego player. He hates not being certain of attention. That is a good trait to have. He isn't the fans darling at the moment and it doesn't sit right with him. Have him on the bench. Subs Hamer Simpson/wasyl Powell Nugent Knockaert Schlupp Albrighton/Lawrence Yes I am leaving Hammond out the squad. I think he has done very well. However, with James/cambo in the side either one can sit there in the holding role. Having Powell ok the bench allows us to bring on a different dimension to our play. We need that hold up player that guy who breaks it up. For me, the first goal yesterday (as harsh as it seem) was down to the midfield not closing down the cross. This isn't just hammonds fault. It's the unit in general. Stop the cross, stop The goal. At present, we are not doing that, it's led to of the oppositions goals. Finally, Mahrez can not be brought, he adds a spark and has done it most games this season (baring stoke). Add to that, a lot of Newcastles problems come from lazy wingers not tracking, that leaves Riyad with one man to beat - I fancy his chances! Vardy and Ulloa always look dangerous and Nuge needs to earn his place back. I believe having Nuge and Wood on the bench together would waste a place. Nuge could replace any of the positions upfront. Having another different type of player opens up a different option. I think we could beat these away. But it will be a few goals a piece. Nige was not happy on Saturday. The angriest I have seen him in a post match interview since the Middlesbrough 2-2 draw at the kp a few seasons back. 3-2 leicester Ulloa Drinkwater Mahrez

lgfualol Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 My current thoughts.           Kasper/Hamer  De Laet  Morgan  Wasyl  Konch      Cambiasso      Drinky              King  Mahrez                 Vardy              Ulloa  Hamer/Kasper,  Moore, James, Knocky, Albrighton, Wood, Powell
Ricey Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Kasper Konchesky Moore Morgan Simpson Cambiasso James Drinkwater Vardy Mahrez Ulloa Subs: Hamer Albrighton Powell Hammond Wasilewski Knockaert Nugent 3 in the middle away from home, with James in for Hammond being a no brainer. De Laet was ok on Saturday but has been a liability all season, so Simpson deserves his chance at his former club. If in need of a goal then Powell and Albrighton have their chance to prove their worth.

Finnegan Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Back to 433. I called for 442 against Burnley and actually it was bollocks.
kingfox Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Time to revert back to 4-4-1-1 in my opinion. Playing 4-3-3 could see the same type of result, which we saw against Palace. Newcastle have been playing a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-1-1 this season, and as we saw against Palace allowing wide players time on the ball, will only cause us problems, especially if we don't have anybody out on the wings to support De Laet/Simpson & Konchesky. If we go 4-3-3 we will be allowing the likes of whoever plays probably Gouffran, Obertan or Cabella, to run at our full backs & cause us problems with pace, and if the full backs get no support like Palace it just cries out danger.  So I'd go with this...  Schmeichel  Simpson - Morgan - Moore - Konchesky  Mahrez - Cambiasso - Drinkwater - Schlupp  Nugent  Ulloa  Subs - Hamer, De Laet, Hammond, King, Powell, Vardy, Wood  Play Nugent behind Ulloa again, it has worked in the games against Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal & Stoke, he will offer support to the midfield, track back & hopefully hassle the Newcastle defensive midfielder, which could be Tiote or Anita. The main problem will be Moussa Sissoko & how we will cope with his physical presence, we saw against Palace how the physicality of Jedinak troubled us, we could have similar problems up against Sissoko. Whoever we play in midfield we have a tough task against him especially, I'd go with Cambiasso & Drinkwater, try & get on the ball keep it simple, spray balls to the wide players & see what we can do on the counter attack, and try and accelerate our pace. Cambiasso needs to show some bite & hopefully go in for some challenges. I'd keep Mahrez & Schlupp they did nothing wrong against Burnley, while I'll also bring in Simpson give him a chance, see what he can do, and see whether or not defensively he is a much better option than De Laet.Â
Buzzell Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Kasper RDL - Moore - Morgan - Konchesky King - Cambiasso - Drinkwater Vardy - Ulloa - Mahrez Subs: Hamer, Was, Wood, James, Knocky, Simpson, Powell.

Leicesterpool Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Provided one or two don't pick up any injuries during international duty my team for the newcastle trip will be  GK: Kasper RB: De Laet CB: Moore CB: Morgan CB: Wasileswki LB: Schlupp CM: Cambiasso CM: James CM: Drinkwater AT: Ulloa AT: Nugent  Bench: Hamer, Simpson, Mahrez, Albrighton, King, Vardy & Wood.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 People who think Wood is the same type of player as Ulloa, that is not the case. Just because he is tall, people think he is a target man. No. He is a finisher, and a very good one. Just think he deserves his chance...
Stevosevic Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 4-3-3 Drinky - Cambiasso - James Mahrez - Ulloa - Vardy

Freesolo Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 how does Vardy play on the L/W in a 4-4-1-1 formation?
Bert Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 I would like to see Kasper Simpson Morgan Wasilewski Konch Cambiasso James Drinky Powell Vardy Ulloa. For me in the last two games Moore hasn't really set the world alight. I love him as a player but he gets dragged out of position or loses his man easily. He could've dealt with the ball in the box for their first yesterday had he been in a better position. These away games are the perfect type and imagine it was what Cambiasso was signed for. It's pivotal that he comes back in, as well as it is for James. Hammond has been good so far but I think it's time for him to have a rest. With Jeff and Riyad on internationals, and with us travelling ourselves I think it's time we utilised a bit of the squad. Powell hasn't played yet and should be eager to show what he can do.
