Had some pr1ck behind me yesterday in the p1ssing rain up my backside going down Uppingham Rd inbound.

So being the cvnt i am, i reduced my speed to 25 on a 40  to feck him off.......it worked a treat as he blared his horn which didnt speed me up at all!!

A couple of times I've deliberately swerved about a bit and It worked - the person driving behind me backed off

Ford Kuga taxi on the way into Leicester down Welford Road, repeatedly changing lanes all of a sudden without indicating. Thanks for severely cutting down my stopping distance without warning on an icy night. Gimp.

My word 🤦‍♂️

Standard behaviour at that junction.

It's almost blind on every approach and no one seems to know what should happen.

Also it's a mini roundabout that Calor gas artic trucks have to negotiate.

I regularly (on almost on every journey) come across taxi drivers that are completely inept. It's their job to drive. Competently. They fail in so many situations.

Mostly they're driving a Toyota Prius.

Wolverhampton council, so I've been told, have the lowest taxi licence fees and least rigorous checks on licenced vehicles which is why there's so many all over the Midlands. :dunno:

There's an emerging group of vehicles driven by knobhead, arrogant twats.

It's the accepted norm that generally, drivers of German cars are known for this but now, IME it's becoming more common for drivers of EV's to behave in the same, "I'm superior to you, get out of my way" way.

Tesla drivers in particular.

You've got a Tesla, so fecking what? Just drive like you aren't a twat.

Was it white by any chance?  lol

Terrible vehicles, they all look the same.  And those interiors...🤢

Humberstone Rd/ Forest Rd area all closed this morning causing mayhem in and out of town to the East of the City.

Supermarket car parks. Getting beeped at to move forward so someone can get into a disabled bay but I'm waiting for someone to exit a different bay.

Then when I park up, I'm stopped and see a car reversing into a bay going at probably a relatively slower than normal speed but not exactly crawling. They're literally a couple of seconds in before the driver of a car waiting is shaking his head, smirking to himself and throwing his hands in the air.

Another time at a different supermarket, I find a space but the car behind me is coming way too fast and seems genuinely surprised (by the gestures he throws my way) when I reverse into the bay.

Don't get me started on those that park in the hatched no-parking areas or loiter on the road near the drop-off areas (but not in those areas), blocking the road and reducing visibility for anyone emerging out.

Feels like nearly everybody has collectively lost their patience and tolerance for what other people are wanting to do on the road.

Try to overtake someone on the motorway and they speed up when you're alongside them. Overtake on a normal road and they scream up behind you and tailgate you later on down the road. Such weird, entitled behaviour sometimes.

Evington Road CCTV to prevent 'utter chaos' parking to be switched on | Leicestershire Live

They need to do this on Melton Road and Narborough Road as well.

Notorious for the self entitled local drivers to do whatever the feck they want.

Reading between the lines this could be deemed racist. They are driving to the acceptable standard. Just because the acceptable standard of driving which they adhere to is from a country which is nowhere near our living standards/economic output/success etc, you shouldn't be calling them out for it.😉🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don't drive through Rusholme (curry mile) in Manchester. You will have a stroke.🤣

A46 Thursday at about 1745.

Heading west towards the A50 junction. Ahead of me I observe a small white stationary car in lane 1 (left/slow lane). No hazards. Poor conditions (dark and raining).

No vehicles immediately behind me so I can easily pull out.

Then I realise it is moving. Very slowly. They are by one of the emergency parking areas. They don't pull in.

I fly past them at 60mph. Estimate they are doing about 10-20mph. No hazards or anything.

Couldn't see who they were. But wtf.

I have no problem with slower drivers on a dual carriageway or motorway. That's why we have lanes, and who knows maybe there is something wrong with their vehicle and they just need to get home or to a garage.  What does annoy me is the driver going 20-30 on a single lane road with 40pmh limit, and delaying a huge queue of traffic behind because he or she hasn't paid attention to the speed signs.

If you are doing below 20mph on a 70mph carriageway then its dangerous driving, especially where you are not alerting others by using your hazards.

If the car has a problem, use a different route. If they didn't come off at the next junction, they would be on the M1. Would you still say the same then? That its ok for them to drive below 20mph? Bad weather conditions with less then ideal visibility? Its 4 lanes so plenty of space for them..

The thing that's pissing me off recently is people that encroach on your side of the road when there's no need to.

If there's parked cars on the other side, I'll go as far left as possible to let cars squeeze past if they can but a lot of people take liberties and drive through the middle of the gap when there's still enough room for two cars.

Beach parking fun yesterday.  I am in line of cars cruising around for a spot, and a bloke in an Audi has stopped off to the left, not indicating.  As I roll past him, some people appear around the end of the line of parked cars, and so I slow to a stop, maybe two car lengths in front of said Audi.  When they get to their car, I indicate and once they have gone a minute or so later I park.  As I get out of the car, the bloke in the Audi starts shouting at me that he was waiting.  No indicating, no beep when I was indicating.  Nothing.  Was I in the wrong?  in my book its the luck of the drawer if you happen to be in the right place when someone leaves the space is yours.  Random waiting around the carp park might work, it might not, but it doesn't give you firs rights on the whole line of cars.  South African bloke obviously.

I wil often go to the middle to prevent a gap for 2 cars.

The reason is that I judge that the space isn't sufficient and by adopting that position I am stopping the other car from attempting it.

Should be traffic light controlled especially, as I already mentioned, with the artics from Calor having to use it and make wide turns.
