The worst offenders are those who use Toyota hybrids.  An absolute menace on the road, no road sense at all.

That's 95% in this area.

They're often messing about with their hybrid system to get MPG as high as possible. Or just on their phone.

I've seen worse than this

Parking plea after footage of fire engine's tight squeeze shared - BBC News

https://share.google/0tvAw0ds6nMG43mMO

I've had roads I can't even get my van down. Fire engine wouldn't stand a chance.

The fire service doing what they do best, sensationalising a normal situation.

I agree that parking on narrow streets creates a problem, I've experienced it myself and I have had to walk a stretcher a distance to the patient, but the FS have hoses that can reach about 100mts or more if they need to pump water to the fire from the engine. Plus there's hydrants on every street that they can use.

I never realised there was so much animosity amongst the emergency services.

Time is of the essence though.

Carrying fire fighting equipment including hose and ladders, further than should be necessary and the risk of a pavement parked car blocking an hydrant, all means there are additional risks to saving life.

Yes, it hinders the ambulance services too, but two wrongs don't make a right and the ambulances quite rightly complain too.

Police and ambulance crews get on fine.

It's only the FS that think they're above acknowledging us when we pass.

Yesterday. M1 southbound.

4 lanes, lane 1 is now the exit for j21. And they are queuing/slow moving/stacked up.

Car in lane 2. Moves across to lane 3 (now the middle lane).

I was in lane 2 behind them. I'm coming off at j21 but using the second lane.

I'm not going quick but the car in the middle lane is going slower then me and i'm gradually catching it up (not undertaking). There are now solid white hatched lines between lane 1 and lane 2.

The car in the middle lane without indicating moves into my lane and then stops between my lane and the solid lines.

They want to come off.🙄

My car flashes up a collision warning and starts to brake just as I react.

I glance and see I had space to manouvre around them to avoid a collision.

Needless to say they were completely oblivious to what danger they put themselves, me, and others in.

I am ordering a dash cam today and will start to send recordings to the police because the level of driving in this country is getting out of hand.

I'm getting more and more irritated by the idiots who U turn out of the junction leading away from Fosse Park parking next to Flannels instead of taking the correct way round following the road looping round at the bottom.  Total disregard for anyone following and not an indicator signal in sight.

Fine the ****ers and put a camera up.

The ignorance, arrogance and impatience of many drivers I encounter on a daily basis.

Does that make it right, though?

No other cars on the road = If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound 😝

But you complain about other drivers doing wrong in various situations that annoy you, yet you allow yourself to do wrong yourself, car park or not. That makes you a hypocrite. Rules are rules. If you get annoyed by middle lane hoggers, or other drivers that annoy you,  you can't complain when you yourself break the rules.

If no one is around. No interference.

Me complaining about drivers being in the wrong - perfectly fine if those drivers are causing problems with other road users.

If theres other road users around then I wouldn't attempt it.

People who don't say thanks for pulling in and letting them through when there are parked cars. Mostly older people who don't say thank you if i had to generalise

there must be posters on here that do this, why?

it is just common courtesy

Still, you can't complain about others when you yourself are in the wrong. It doesn't matter if there's no other traffic, the signs are there for a reason and choosing to ignore them, regardless of any situation puts you, yes YOU Mr perfect, in the wrong.

I can see you turning right onto a main road when there's a left turn only sign as you think it's ok if there's no other traffic.

Sorry. You're flouting the highway code that you seem to hold so important in situations that annoy you.

You can't have it both ways.

Busted.

Grove Park Triangle. Leaving Tim Hortons I always turn right if theres no one else around.

P.s. make sure you get a cardboard thingy for the coffee from there as its HOT.
