Did they offer any evidence for this, Matt?

After all, this is the same newspaper that faked an interview with the widow of the officer who died in the Falklands campaign, lied about Liverpool fans at Hillsborough....

If they're lying then I guess the MPs can sue. the Sun are taking a bit of a risk if it's not true.

I doubt it, and wouldn't be surprised if the links are tenuous at best for some of them. As I understand the Labour party is not banning nor against these contracts, but are wanting to provide better terms and security for employees. This list is meaningless.

You're right.

Nothing I've watched or listened to over the last few months could possibly lead anyone thinking Labour are against zero hour contracts in anyway.

You'll be claiming they are not against austerity and NHS privatisation next.

Indeed, but it wouldn't be the first time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm cynical of the honesty and integrity of all politicians, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's true, but I wouldn't trust anything the Sun says without seeing the evidence.

They're not denying it, just saying they're paying the living wage. A lot of people using zero hours contracts could be doing the same or better.

Balls said something about it "allowing them to pay the living wage". I'd like to see that explained in greater detail because, as it stands, it makes no sense.

it's a shame we can't have different parties in charge of different areas in government. I agree with most of the parties on certain aspects of their polices but no party for all of them.

I'd vote "mix and match"

Would agree with that. I think I've found at least one policy point from about six different parties which I agree with (some a lot more than others, obviously). If we switched to PR you'd get more of that. Quite happy to sacrifice strong government if it means people having to cob partisanship aside and actually talk to each other about what's right for the good of the nation.

i'd even go for devolved regional powers. or at least more of them

Definitely in favour, especially if we did switch to PR as you'd lose MPs having a constituency link and being able to campaign on local issues at a national level.

Meanwhile Captain Bellend strikes again, rip up your polling card and set yourself free lol

Christ he really is a cvnt. As is the attention-seeking bellpiece who actually registered to vote just so he could tweet that picture.

FFS I can't imagine how many easily-swayed youngsters he's actually managed to convince sitting on their arses come polling day is going to change the world. If he'd have told the same brain-dead sheep to go out and write "FVCK OFF" on their ballot paper, imagine the impact that would have. I'd wager you'd genuinely get more spoiled votes than votes for the winning candidate in some constituencies.

Bizarely i have lived out of the UK for 5 years now but im still allowed to vote... Im still very keen on what goes on in England as it will always be my home ( can take the boy out of Leicester but not Leicester out of the boy and all that) but it would feel somewhat fraudulent voting in an election i will never be affected by....

Right, so say Clegg loses his seat, how much is that going to add to the chaos expected after the election? I assume he can still be Lib Dem leader as Farage is without being an MP, but surely he'd step down? God knows how that'll impact the negotiations.

Bizarrely, he will remain deputy prime minister until a new government is formed, even if he has lost his seat.

Wow, it will feel like EU is in Westminster.

I've just read that many of the team he appointed to negotiate the coalition before the last election are in jeopardy of losing their seats too. It's going to be a right mess.

I thought you were voting for the kippers, Strokes?

I do want to, that's what I believe in but im just a disillusioned tory at heart. I don't think UKIP are really focussing on the Loughborough area, I've seen nothing of Andy mcwahatshisname, so........your guess is as good as mine at the minute.

I'm a little like Collymore and voll blue. A mixture of them all than them just toeing the party line. Although where I am is a safe labour seat. Leicester south and Jon Ashworth is a decent Mp. One of the best attendance records at Parliament and mixes with the natives {)

You can find out what your MP does by visiting a site called They work For You which also gives what their record for questioning is at PMQT.

I get regular emails about him and almost every week he is asking something of one department or another.

Is anyone else totally undecided at this moment in time on who they're gonna vote for?

Not me personally.  I have voted Labour all my life but this election I will be voting Conservative.  There are multiple reasons why I currently deem Labour unelectable but the absolute clincher for me is the inevitable deal with the SNP.  I will absolutely not use my vote to help the SS of Salmond and Sturgeon into Downing Street.  The SNP have been talking about their red-lines, well mine is to not use my vote to help secure power to a fundamentally anti-British political party.  Absolutely no chance.

Truth be told I struggle to think of a single reason why any Englishman or woman would consider voting Labour this general election.

Is the TV debate tonight? I hope its not as farcical as 7 different parties debating each other at the same time sounds. Will need to be expertly chaired/emceed or you'd expect Farage will clean up as the main outsider.

Also hate to sound sexist but still think theres zero point in Sturgeon, Bennett and the Welsh bird being there. The vast majority of the country doesn't give a shit about Scotland, Wales or Brighton.

You do know he's been outed as one of the MPS who has been employing people on zero hour contracts don't you Ken?

I mean you can't vote for him now can you.

Sturgeon being there could turn the election.  If she puts her foot in it making demands about what the SNP would insist on to support any kind of coalition, then people will realise what they get if they vote Labour.  I can see everyone ganging up on Cameron, and him getting a sympathy bounce in the polls.

Honestly can't see Labour being able to make a deal with the SNP other than a C/S one where a government is desperate to be formed.

The mere threat of it happening is enough to drive voters away, so Labour must know it's a vote killer for them, if they look like they're going to do it they won't make enough to be able to form a coalition anyway - surely far better to just aim for deadlock this time and take their chances six months down the line?
