Hmm, are we talking about entertainment or significance? Now I've had a proper look at the list it seems we're gearing more towards the former here?

For me the word 'great' is more associated with significance than whether it was a fun game...

Izzet is the only one I would have seen play but unfortunately I'm not old enough to remember so I voted for Banks, how many other World Cup winners will we ever have?

O'Neil arguably the clubs greatest ever period, again I wasn't old enough to remember :(

5-3 I was there for this bastard!

Entertainment without a doubt. I agree by and large it proved to be insignificant but winning away at our main rivals who we haven't won away at in over 40 years, with a last minute goal on the final day, to send us into the play-offs at their expense? It's one of the biggest kicks in the teeth you can give to a team.

How can a player who scored 251 goals in 303 games NOT be our greatest player?

And are these Bilo's selections or the actual choices available for the Awards proper?  Cos when it came to greatest games, there's tons that should be ahead of some of those listed.

Purely my choices, TLB.

I just reeled off the first load that came to mind to be honest.

I think some people are going with entertainment, some significance. Manchester United has most votes and that had both of these aspects.

If you're talking about significance alone, then surely the League Cup finals would need to be listed, as well as the play off finals, and even wins at formidable grounds such as Anfield and Old Trafford?

Suppose it depends what you define as "great". We won't all have the same idea.

:| You're saying that a Championship game where we got into the play-offs but then lost is the greatest game in the club's 130 year history?

No but it has to be an option.

I'm surprised there's not more concern about why none of the cup wins are on there than a 2nd tier league game.

BILO OUT!!

For greatest game, i went with 2-1 Palace, despite fact i was a little too young to attend  it, I've seen highlights and watched the whole game multiple times and this sort of thing got me in to LCFC. It started off the best era in the clubs history after it, so this is why i voted for it.

Then in that case, 1997 1-0 vs Middlesboro League Cup Final. Kaamark v Juninho was a thing of beauty!

Izzet - other than Steve Walsh, I've never seen the others play so can't really cast an opinion on them. Izzet was a hero for me growing up watching football. True entertainer and one of the best players of the O'Neill era.Scored some crackers too and I was gutted when he left.

O'Neill - Similar to Izzet, he was pivotal in the success of Leicester in the late 90s/early 00s and he's the one who's set the bar for other managers after him. Pearson is great and forever thankful for him getting us in to the Premier League but O'Neill is still quite some way ahead at the moment. The Wembley appearances, promotions, great wins, punching above our weight consistently, production of top players. Again, gutted when he left.

City 5-3 Utd - just for the sheer audacity and the way it panned itself out. Never in my Leicester-supporting life would I have envisaged that a newly-promoted Leicester would beat Man Utd with such excitement and brilliance. Let alone that Utd team having players like Di Maria, De Gea, Mata, RVP, Falcao, Rooney on the pitch. It was a game you'd dream about, not something you'd ever think you'd watch in real life in front of your eyes.

Yeah... It was one of the greatest games in the clubs history. The fact we went on to lose in the playoffs has no bearing on this game.

I wouldn't call it the best game, not even in the top 20/30.

But best "Ends going mental" moment? Best last minute goal? Yeah, that'd sum up the day better.

Agree with this.

Rowley

O'neill

In which case, I'm not sure good ol' Arthur Chandler's going to do too well, can't be many 80+ year olds on FT...

Thats why I voted for the record win.

Greatest game for me is the Cambridge play off semi at Filbo! Brilliant scenes great result.

For the player surely we have to look at their record as well as what we saw live? Otherwise it's our greatest player of the last 30 years or so not greatest ever.

Walsh and Muzzy were great and I loved watching them play but can they really compete with a World Cup winner, a golden boot winner, England's most capped player and the top scorer in football league history?

Manager has to be O'neil if you look at where we were when he took over compared to when he left, we won cups travelled Europe and won at old Trafford, Anfield and the like along the way.

The point soneone made about finishing 8th and league cup wins not being true success is made by someone who clearly doesn't understand the size of our club.

We are not a big club and certainly weren't when we won those cups, we punched above our weight all enjoyed the ride.
