lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Rip Pearson Edit. My ratings: 4s for Konch and Nugent. 5s for the Midfield 4. 6s for everyone else, including Ulloa.
DeclanMC Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Marcin is a 7 for his elbow on Berahino. Konchesky a 4 - as past it now, as he was in January, despite his indian summer.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel 6 De Laet 6 Wasyl 7 Morgan 7 Konchesky 5 Cambiasso 5 Drinkwater 4 James 5 King 5 Nugent 4 Vardy 6 Nige: 2 Ref 2 Opposition 4

ScouseFox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 genuinely don't think konch was bad by his own fault, his out ball (has been for 3 years) is down the line. we played no winger, Nuge was reluctant to give him an option and the 4 centre mids could've spent most the game holding hands they were that close together.
Thracian Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper 5 (Nothing much to do - something of a compliment to the defence for all that they were lucky at times and WBA didn't offer much once they scored). DeLaet 6.5 (Tried to provide width and balls into the box but nothing quite paid off). Was 6 (Solid enough in the air but might easily have been sent off and - along with Morgan - was sometimes snookered by the movement of WBA's nipp[y strikers). Morgan 5 (Much as above, missed a reaosnable chance and unlucky to head the ball into Cambiasso for their goal). Konchesky 4 (Improved second half but so erratic in the first and might easily have cost us a goal from twice being caught trying to dribble from defence). Cambiasso 4 (Some nice enough touches but his own goal, some half-hearted challenges, poor passes and his lack of sufficient influence outweighed all that). James 6.5 (Worked tirelessly and quite effectively. One decent shot). King 7 (Three chances from headers, worked tirelessly and was by far our most competent and composed midfielder). Drinkwater 4 (I don't know what's happened to the guy. Seems low on confidence. So hard to remember anything of note). Nugent 6 (Worked really hard and was quite constructive but posed little threat as a striker). Vardy 6 (Had half chances and, like Nugent, tried so hard to make something happen. Might have had a penalty but I think the referee was right). Subs Ulloa 6 (Made a difference in all sorts of ways but it was too little too late). Wood 5 (Should have been on earlier. Caused some problems even in his cameo appearance). Powell 6 (Promising).
kingfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel 5 - Had hardly anything to do, one shocking throw out though De Laet 5 - Wasn't troubled like he was against Swansea, got forward well enough, crosses not great though Morgan 7 - Kept Berahino fairly quiet, solid performance Wasilewski 7 - Like Wes, kept Berahino quiet, made him shit his pants, solid performance Konchesky 5 - Lacked pace, turned into trouble at times, average performance Cambiasso 5 - Got stuck in well at times, but kept lofting it long, frustrating Drinkwater 5 - Average, better than Swansea, but seems to be lacking ideas when on the ball James 7 - Glimpses of the quality James possess today, very forward thinking, best passer in midfield King 6 - In and out of the game, retained the ball well at times, went missing in parts Vardy 6 - Had one of our best chances, worked tirelessly Nugent 3 - Not Premier League quality
Rasmic123 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Schmeichel - 6 De Laet - 6 Morgan - 6 Was - 7 Konch - 5 Drinky - 4 Cambiasso - 3 James - 4 King - 4 Vardy - 7 Nugent - 6 Ulloa - 6 Powell - 5 Wood - 6
Fox92 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 At least Cambiasso tried to create stuff at times.
NewburyFox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 King 7 (Three chances from headers, worked tirelessly and was by far our most competent and composed midfielder). For someone who is at the tip of the diamond and given the primary role of creating, he wasn't involved nearly enough to get a 7. Should've done much better with his main headed chance too.
Dickov22 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper 6 Nothing to do Koncheskey 4 Very poor again. Lost the ball so many times Morgan 6 Decent game Wasilewski 6 Thought he played well but I didn't like the elbow on Berahino De Laet 7 Very good game from him. Probably our best player Drinkwater 5 Isolated on the right of midfield. Needs to be central to have more of an influence. Wasn't good though Cambiasso 6 Some lovely passes but isn't it quite easy to look good playing that role? James 7 Despite also being played out of position, thought he had a good game King 6 Did ok but didn't create much Vardy 6 huffed and puffed and looked threatening at times Nugent 4 Poor again. Fed up of seeing him The subs were absolutely baffling from Pearson. We were crying out for some width, so instead brought on 3 x 6 foot forwards and ended up having no one to supply them. Pearson gets a 0 for a ridiculous formation that lacked width, ridiculous subs, and a mardy arrogant post match interview.
jmono84 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Konch, drinks (my fave player as well ) and nuge was all 4's for me, gave most of them a 5 and a handful of 6's (de laet, was, Ulloa)
ImBlue Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 genuinely don't think konch was bad by his own fault, his out ball (has been for 3 years) is down the line. we played no winger, Nuge was reluctant to give him an option and the 4 centre mids could've spent most the game holding hands they were that close together. Couldn't have said it better myself. And James kept giving him the ball unnecessarily!
Dickov22 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Couldn't have said it better myself. And James kept giving him the ball unnecessarily! James had no one else to give it to because we didn't have any wide men.
foxinsox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper 5 still no clean sheet RDL 6 coped well despite being exposed by the diamond Konch 3 very poor, very exposed by the diamond Wes 6 apart from place in own goal fiasco Was 7 deserves his place. We need some muscle, and his good eye for a forward pass Cambiasso 5 poor initially but came into the game later. Too slow, but mostly accurate passing Drinkwater 5 not his old self James 5 some good bits, but poor delivery for every set piece King 7 the best of out midfielders Nugent 3 Not up to the Prem Vardy 6 good at times Ulloa 6 not on long enough to make a difference Wood 6 good physical presence, outmuscled their defence Powell 7 not on long enough but nice first touch and pacey. Deserves his place Pearson 3 Players did not seem to understand the system, so resorted to hoofing as they did not know where the player in space would be. No width, substitutes needed to come on earlier. Needs to learn quickly. WBA 5 Nothing Special. Great support (apart from minutes silence)
Bert Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper 6 - Had little to do, didn't actually do anything wrong. De Laet 5 - Cross for the goal came from his side but he played better than last week. Konch 5 - Could've put us in trouble once or twice but nowhere near as bad a people are making out. Had no protection and no winger hindered him going forward. Morgan & Wasilewski 6 - Both fine. Dealt with Berahino with ease. Shown you don't need to be quick to deal with pace. As did Lescott for them. Cambiasso 6 - At least he seemed like he knew what he was doing. A calm head and tried to make things happen from the base of the diamond. Drinky 5 - Out of position in kind of an inside right position. Seemed like he couldn't get his foot on the ball. James 5 - Again out of position. Similar to Drinky, just struggled to get into the game. King 5 - his greatest influence in the game was to miss a sitter. Vardy 5 - Not helped by the lacklustre around him. Nugent 5 - Worked hard but was in all honesty, poor. Subs. All get a 5. No impact. Although they at least seemed like they wanted to be involved and looked busy.
chicagofox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Surely nobody can give Nugent anything other than a 1. Same goes for Pearson.
theessexfox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Kasper - 6 - Weird throw which didn't clear their guy but some good saves RDL - 6 - Criticised him but thought he bounced back well Wes - 7 - Thought he had a good game Was - 8 - Majestic Konch - 5 - Really poor in possession, disaster waiting to happen Cambiasso - 6 - Decent in possession Drinkwater - 5 - Poor game James - 8 - Did really well King - 6 - Decent game Nugent - 5 - Too slow in possession Vardy - 6 - Looked a threat at times Ulloa - 6 - Did some good things Powell - 7 - Brief but looked promising Wood - 5 - JUMP Officials - 4 - Crap WBA - 5 - Just solid, smash and grab to an extent Pearson - Stay obviously, gets a 6 because I thought we were solid enough and hard to legislate for an own goal like that.

Dan Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Schmeichel - 5. Not a great deal he could've done really. De Laet - 5. Thought he looked slightly better today in a very tough role. Morgan - 5. Not really got a great deal of fault to pick with him. Wasilewski - 5. I didn't think he was bad but should've been sent off. Konchesky - 3. He's so poor on the ball it hurts. Cambiasso - 6. Our best player. He does things that no-one else on our team is capable of. Drinkwater - 4. Totally anonymous. James - 6. I thought James was decent today. King - 4. Thought the stage was set for him today but he was anonymous. Vardy - 5. I liked his attitude. He was ambitious but to little avail. Should've scored. Nugent - 3. Championship forward. He isn't good enough for this level. This game was the final straw for me. Pearson - 2. It's the same shit again. I'm bored of this tinkering but we simply have to make changes again next week - he keeps making the wrong changes. We got the formation hideously wrong as we don't have the players. Get back to playing 4-4-2 with two wingers. What exactly are we gaining from not playing it? There's literally not a single redeeming factor. The football's rubbish, the defending isn't any good, the attacking is woeful. We've absolutely imploded. It is a repeat of February 2013 all over again and I just hope we sort it sooner rather than later. West Brom - 5. They were fairly solid but unspectacular. Leicester of last season would've beaten them. Attwell - 3. Kept letting them off with pathetic timewasting. How does it go unpunished all the time? It's ****ing ridiculous. I literally don't understand it. He's an awful ref, totally out of his depth and it sums up the FA that he only got this game due to Clattenburg's mis-demeanour yet his woeful performance in midweek went unpunished. It sums up everything the FA are about - focusing on the less relevant things than the game itself. I have never seen Attwell have a decent game. Never.
ScouseFox Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 still rating after rating comes in saying konch was poor in possession, what did you want him to do? he was never ever given an option either inside ore down tje line, if he'd just booted it out of play like an idiot and nnot lost it once or twice everyone would've had a go then too as an aside rdl was pretty good today (as was the back 4 as a whole without moore()
Dickov22 Posted 2 November 2014 Posted 2 November 2014 Yesterday's game reminded me of that awful run we had, season before last. Players out of position, players under performing and baffling substitutions and tactics from Pearson. The last ten minutes becoming farcical- lumping it forward to a big man. I can't remember the last time playing like that in the final stages of a game produced a goal. Couldn't believe we didn't bring on a wide man/stick someone out wide to try and get a goal. Disgraceful from Pearson.
