Pearson: Knockeart Must Prove Leicester Worth

Does nobody remember that he has played a part in 2 if our last 4 matches? Understandable as he did fvck all but he has been given chances and not taken them.

He is a good player and I like him a lot, and I think he will get another chance, but he hasn't done anything in any if his appearances this season to deserve starting ahead of Mahrez or Schlupp, neither has Albrighton, Powell offered more in his brief cameo than Knockeart has done in his.

Reading between the line's I would say it's for certain that Pearson and Knockeart have come to blow's, maybe over not being played earlier the season. However I question Pearson's attitude toward's our player's as sometimes he seem's more worried about pleasing his own Ego than doing what is right for the team. I understand that he need's to have a better attitude and in recent week's can only see that Knockeart has done everything right to deserve a chance. It will be another negative against Pearson come this weekend and he doesn't play winger's and if he doesn't include Knockeart in the squad to face southampton at the very least.

if we drop everyone who's been "garbage" in more than one game this season we'll have no players left.

But there's a difference between the attitude of the players who are keeping him out of the side to his attitude and therein lies the difference.

The difference is Knockaert is a match winner being kept out by subpar grafters

I've done more than enough to deserve starting ahead of Schlupp and I do **** all all day

1 - I'm making the point that despite being dogshit, Schlupp has had far more pitch time than Knocky.

2 - See above

3 - I wanted our manager to take care of that obvious issue in the summer

4 - If you want to live in the past, go and support Forest.

How do you know the manager didn't try and sign more players in the summer? Do you really think he wanted to start the season with Konchesky at left back? Fact is, we don't know what goes on in the transfer market but there were several occasions over the summer where NP hinted at his frustrations about transfers.

Drinkwater hasn't been rubbish all season. He was class at Stoke and played well in the Man Utd and Arsenal games. Granted he's been poor last few but playing right midfield against WBA he just couldn't get in the game. Wrong position for him. You don't become a bad player overnight. Stop being so fickle

Knockaert has has chances this season. He was woefully off the pace in the Everton game, and an absolute disgrace against Shrewsbury. I like him but I think he lacks the pace to play at this level.

It's amazing how a player's stock rises amongst certain fans when they're not playing and the team is doing badly. Same with Wood. People seem to forget

Powell did exactly the same sort of stuff Knockaert would have done. Dropped deep to collect the ball, looked urgent and to create. Any time we've been chasing a game and the opposition has dropped off we've see that from him.

Except I can only imagine the reaction from one or two posters had he slapped our last remotely presentable opportunity out for a throw in.

Which is it? He's had the opportunities or he's not quick enough "at this level"? More than half of his minutes came against a League 2 side, which is surely irrelevant in coming up with a form opinion on whether he's quick enough at this level.

He wasn't good against Everton and did next to nothing in cameos against Burnley and Newcastle but in both games kept the ball well. Certainly in the Burnley game there was little more he could have done; nobody was interested in getting over the half way line after he came on.

But if 80 minutes is enough to judge a player then as far as I'm concerned Albrighton may as well retire now. Obviously it's not enough and both are suffering from a very strange selection policy and I'm confident both have something to offer.

When was the last time he won us a match?

In a new division they all have to prove there worth, including Pearson.

Last season they all proved their worth, but in football it's a results buisness, and the old saying goes, your only as good as your last game.

For me none of them have proven their worth in this division yet, some great performances, but a lot of poor, inconsistent performances, pretty much 50-50, first 5 games we looked good, second 5 poor, not proven the have what it takes to survive, there is plenty of time, but to a man they all are yet to prove their worth this season.

About 15 games ago. Which given that he hasn't played in most of the games since is pretty good going.

He's won us what, Huddersfield away in his first season, huddersfield at home, Sheff Weds at home? How many other games have the likes of Nugent and Vardy won us. Knockaert is inconsistent, he's good on the eye when things are going well, but majority of the time he's losing possession in stupid areas, going down in good positions far too easily, sitting on the floor waiting for the ref to give him decision, or just not delivering the ball into a position that creates a good opportunity. We need to go back to basics of getting the ball down and completing our passing, which worked to some effect against WBA. Getting the ball out on the wing to a player who's going to start trying to beat every player he comes to, not covering his full back, and sulking when the game isn't going his way isn't going to do us any good at the moment. Knockaert produces some sublime moments but they are far too far and inbetween for him to merit a starting place in what has been a very lacklustre start of the season in the chances he has had. Obviously he hasn't fully redeemed himself, our managers not some controlling a**hole who is trying to ruin these players careers, he's the man who gave them a chance in the first place and if their not pulling their weight so be it.

He's been asked about Knocky presumably and given a general answer about the squad I very much doubt he's chosen to single individuals out, he seems against that.

That's quite clear, doesn't stop the reactionaries on here jumping on it though does it. Same old shit as before when the nonsense about Pearson falling out with players was being used as something to beat him with. Nobody has a clue what has gone on, if anything at all. There could be a hundred reasons why Knockaert hasn't featured, a lot of which could be down to him and not Pearson.

If Knockaert had been out on the piss, or eating crap and gaining weight, not keeping fit etc would everyone be so quick to castigate Pearson?  No, they wouldn't.

Knockaert is a very arrogant person. Ive met him twice and he doesnt even acknowledge you as a fan. You can see his arrogance on the pitch when he forever takes too many touches and tries to do too many things rather than playing the simple pass. I can just imagine he acts the same in training and Pearson recognises this. If he was a true match winner then he would be playing but his bits of 'magic' are rarely seen. It wouldnt surprise me if he has had a moan for not being selected (showing his arrogance) and Pearson is clearly a no nonsense manager.

Cant believe so many people are jumping down Pearsons throat over this. Its simple logic that if Knockaert was applying himself properly then we would be seeing more of him.

People see it differently, but from what little I have seen of Tony and Powell this season, I would be willing to give Powell a chance ahead of Knockeart at the moment, they will both get their chances for sure, but if I had to pick one to start on Saturday it would be Powell.

I'm not saying I disagree, but it only has to be one or the other if we persevere with the diamond.

Or to replace Nugent in a 4411, I would like to see Powell or Knocky in that role, I don't think Pearson has ever deployed Tony K in a completely free creative role, behind a striker.

He has been hindered by Mahrez's success. Mahrez can do everything he can do but faster and of a better quality. Looked awful against Everton, Shrewsbury was a disgrace, completely ineffective and wasteful against Newcastle and equally so against Burnley in his substitute appearances.

If you read the article he has said absolutely nothing unfair there, if you read the headline then he sounds like an arse considering Knockaert's recent efforts in the development squad.

I've said NP shouldn't be sacked unless he does something dramatically stupid, He is starting to make me wonder with such comments and stubborness.

I'll still have faith in him, I still stand by my not sacking him comments but he needs to buck his ideas up, we are crying out for wingers, use them!!!

I mean I know this is a Knockeart thread and i'm sorry to bring it up again but Nugent is he really showing he 'deserves a regular role in his Premier League plans'? Really?
