ElusiveEd Posted 28 November 2014 Posted 28 November 2014 Being touted in a daily rag, (Express) that Messi is in a row with Barca over ££££ and Chelsea are looking at stepping in to sign him. Pinch of salt stuff (Especially with it being the Daily Express) but I'd love to see how he'd fare in the Prem and I guess it's only Chelsea or Man City that could afford him and the kinda signing I could see Abramovich and Mourinho wanting. Would love to see it happen. £100+ million surely?
SystonFox Posted 28 November 2014 Posted 28 November 2014 Could he do it on a muggy Saturday afternoon in Leicester?
StanSP Posted 28 November 2014 Posted 28 November 2014 If Bale went for £80m, Messi should go for more than double. I can't imagine he'd be leaving Barca though.
ElusiveEd Posted 28 November 2014 Author Posted 28 November 2014 Could he do it on a muggy Saturday afternoon in Leicester? Exactly. I rem years ago when Brazilians started to head over here to play. (Wasn't it Middlesborough who had a couple and Derby had one I think???) As soon as it got cold, rainy and wintry, on came the gloves and their form just dropped. They just couldn't play or handle it. Diff case for Messi but would be interesting to see if he could cut it in the Prem.
City_4_Life Posted 28 November 2014 Posted 28 November 2014 Could he handle a 3rd round F.A. Cup tie away to Grimsby though?

Bert Posted 28 November 2014 Posted 28 November 2014 If Bale went for £80m, Messi should go for more than double. I can't imagine he'd be leaving Barca though. £160m minimum? lol lol
Guest Kopfkino Posted 28 November 2014 Posted 28 November 2014 One Wasyl elbow and he'll go running back to Spain
Leicesterpool Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I think the idea of Messi playing in the premier league sounds so far fetched, can't see this happening.
DMU Fox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 £160m minimum? lol lol One of the best if the best players in the world, £160m is a more than fair price. (Unless I'm being thick as it's late)
SystonFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 It will never happen anyway. He's barca til he retires
Finnegan Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 They were discussing it on Revista and nobody considered it a serious possibility that Messi would leave. Nobody can really afford him, his release clause is a couple hundred million and Barca would milk as much of that as possible. Then factor in his wages, then consider FFP. Plus, he IS Barcelona. It's just posturing, he'll be there forever.
lavrentis Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Messi needs to move away. He's done what he needs to in Spain. At least Ronaldo has proven himself in many European countries.
Hollism Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 Anzhi triggered his €250million release clause a couple of years ago, but he turned now their offer
The Horse's Mouth Posted 30 November 2014 Posted 30 November 2014 Messi needs to move away. He's done what he needs to in Spain. At least Ronaldo has proven himself in many European countries. "many"
kingcarr21 Posted 1 December 2014 Posted 1 December 2014 £160m minimum? lol lol i reckon it would take more than 200m for Barca to even consider letting him go
One Legged Beaver Posted 1 December 2014 Posted 1 December 2014 The only offer I think they'd accept would probably be his release clause, and then I doubt he'd even leave.
