Hammerman69 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Valencia and Sakho are both good in the air too , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ED48CDqoIqk :xmastongue:
yorkie1999 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 I'd like to see the same lineup and formation that played man city, vardy to score 1-0
filbertway Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 I think West Ham at 4/6 are very generous odds from the bookies. It'd take a stroke of good fortune for us to get anything from this game.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Can unfortunately see this being our first proper pasting of the season. Their effectiveness from set pieces and general crossing ability will cause us a lot of trouble. I think we will match they on the football side of it but won't be able to deal with the volume of crosses put into our box. 3-0 Big Andy to bag 2.
red5 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 I'd like to see the same lineup and formation that played man city, vardy to score 1-0 I'd bring Hammond in for DD,
Blue Ed Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Same team but would like to see Hammond in for DD
Silverdaz Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Same team but Ulloa in for Vardy or Vardy on the left which isnt his strongest but Schlupp was anonymous vs Man City. 3-1 West Ham Our defence are utter shit so Caroll will get at least two goals from his head. Ulloa with ours. Your kidding right he was one of our best plarers against city put some useful crossed in and ran at their back line
Silverdaz Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 I'd like to see the same 11 but Knockaert in for Schlupp. We played well Sat but didn't create a single shot on target. Give Knocky a go, we'll have enough protection in the middle. Set pieces, Andy Carroll and our defence doesn't bear thinking about. Oh yes Mahrez and Knocky together in an away game that makes sense NOT we would be too lightweight you can only just get away with one of them in an away game
lgfualol Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Your kidding right he was one of our best plarers against city put some useful crossed in and ran at their back line I couldnt remember at the time, but yes you're right he did do a couple good crosses. I guess he just didnt stand out compared to other players' performances. Shame we never seem to have anyone to pop one into the net when our wingers give them chances.

Yes it almost seems when a player does do a godd cross or a piece of skill there is no one in the box
Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Same side except Knocky in for Schulpp and RDLin for Simpson. Hamer could be crucial here, his command of the box will be really tested against West Ham.
Hammerman69 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 It amazes me that everyone fears Carroll (who can be a one trick pony at times) yes he is big and good in the air, a good target man, but Valencia and Sakho can be far more destructive than Carroll. I fully expect you to face all 3 of them Saturday with Downing pushed up high behind them, we can score goals from anywhere this season which we really missed last year

If its the latter, I really hope you use that username on Tinder!
Hammerman69 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Just stuck it on the end I wish I was born in 69 but way older than that mate, still trying to work out how to survive the Grandchildren this Christmas :xmasblink:
BlueJoe Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Hamer Simpson Morgan Was Konchesky Vardy Drinkwater Cambiasso King Knocky Ulloa Both Vardy and Knocky will cover their fullback.... And will run for 90 mins Both are willing to run down the line and not cut inside... when we have a centre forward who is better in the air than on his feet why Mahrez pulls in on the inside every time??? Both will give us good pace in attack... Put Mahrez on for 35 mins to run at them in the 2nd half

Dickov22 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Oh yes Mahrez and Knocky together in an away game that makes sense NOT we would be too lightweight you can only just get away with one of them in an away game Usually I'd agree with you, but we are creating absolutely nothing and with three in the middle and just one up top it's still fairly defensive.
Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Oh yes Mahrez and Knocky together in an away game that makes sense NOT we would be too lightweight you can only just get away with one of them in an away game It's possible with a midfield three.
KFS Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Cambiasso, Drinky, King Knockaert Mahrez That's the best midfield we have IMO.
Hammerman69 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Martin Atkinson confirmed as Ref for this one Always been a fairly good ref with consistent performances from what I have seen, and he will let the game flow
Silverdaz Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 It's possible with a midfield three. but wheres the pace going to come from??
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Hamer Simpson Morgan Wasyl Konch Drinkwater Cambiasso Mahrez King Schlupp Ulloa I reckon ulloa instead of vardy due to physical strength
kingfox Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Outside the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal & Man Utd, West Ham are probably the best team I've watched this season, think they will physically dominate us tbh. Hamer Simpson - Morgan - Wasilewski - Konchesky Hammond Mahrez - Cambiasso - King - Schlupp Ulloa Don't expect anything from this game, 2-0 win for West Ham both goals coming from crosses or set pieces.
Dickov22 Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 but wheres the pace going to come from?? Vardy De Laet Mahrez
