Off Turin in December and it looks like a bit of sleeper hit when it comes to Italy. Very different from the South but a lot to do.

Beautiful city. Incredible Egyptian museum. Best coffee and cake I've had in Italy, maybe the French influence. Also good to try and get north into the Alps for a day.

A few hours south of Innsbruck by train you have Bolzano, Brixen, and loads of beautiful little villages. Will probably be a bit quieter and will still be very beautiful that time of year. Brixen is great at Christmas.

Transport is good too. Innsbruck to Brixen is like 1hr 45 by train. There are also loads of buses going to the little valleys around the Dolomites. Beautiful part of the world.

You'd be right there. Just part of the trip though,  think I'm on day 25. Started in San Francisco and have sailed down. 6 days in NZ and then off to Australia.

That's more like it lol

Had a look for a last minute trip away; thought I'd have a look around the UK. For a few days in the likes of Edinburgh, York etc you're hitting 400 quid easily.

Yet you can get to Spain for half the price, and they wonder why people go abroad

You could theoretically get to NZ for 800 quid, two nights and two days on the plane - food and drink included! -  300 quid on a hotel for three nights, 300 notes spendos ....and only use up a week's leave. 1500 quid. I've spent more on a fcking blocked drain.

Edit. In fact, I might go do it!!!

£1500 and a weeks leave is what you’d spend on a wholly uninspiring and bland week in santorini being beige’d to death.

I met someone who delivered stem cells abroad. Literally fly in fly out. Went to nz for a day Lol. Worth looking into if you’re serious as you’ll get paid for it plus all expenses obvs.

Any good places in Europe for end of November for a lads holiday? Was thinking Greece or Croatia

Absolutely loads ! Prague, Budapest, Bruges, Ghent, Tallin, Pula (Croatia), Gdansk.

You can basically stick a pin in a map & find somewhere decent.

Not sure that Greece is a great winter destination, although aren't England playing in Athens in November ?

Off to New Zealand in late December until mid January to see my dad. Stopping to see family in Australia for Christmas eve, Christmas day and day one of the boxing day test, then over to NZ. Got a road trip from Christchurch to Auckland planned (via Kaikoura, Marlborough, Tongariro, Taupo, Rotorua), and trips to Queenstown, Wanaka and Milford Sound.

Well excited

Fair enough 😂. Weve always booked ours a couple of months in advance but had a decent deal. Usually basic hotel for £50-60 a night

Has anyone ever booked the wrong flight dates by accident?

Was in a bit of a rush and booked the flights for the weekend before I wanted to travel by mistake on easyJet.

Clicked manage flights to change to correct date and it did it instantly, even keeping me the same same seats I had originally booked. Cost £100 to click a button!

Absolutely annoying and so expensive for I'm sure just a database change on their side.
