Norwegian Fjords are beautiful, are you going part way or all the way up to Honningsvag?

Definitely worth booking!

Thanks all for the Italy tips, much appreciated!

I think we've landed on Varenna, Bologna and Florence across 11 days and will likely do some day trips to some smaller towns/areas.

Not wishing to correct you, but do you mean Ravenna? Varenna is tiny and on the coast of Lake Como.

No, Varenna is where I meant, plan was to do a few days there before train to Bologna. Would you advise against?

Not at all, it's a beautiful little place - you can get various boats across the lake and there is some stunning walking to be done too. And of course, over-priced food :)

Part way, doing it on a cruise for a week so definitely not going to get to see everything but excited nonetheless.

We really want to do Flam and that's included, so we are happy with the itinerary.

The other half has been 5 times, so must be worth a look. Having said that, it was still Yugoslavia ! Don’t shoot the messenger !

Any recommendations for Croatia in July please guys?

Split/ Dubrovnik?

Zadar is a nice, smaller and slightly less touristy place to visit I'd say. Affordable, good food and drink.

Plitvice Lakes are only about an hour from there as well which are beautiful, although do get incredibly busy in the summer.

Florence is great, you won't regret it. Yes there are tourists but for good reason, the art and architecture is world class. Love it very early in the morning in a locals cafe in some back street with a brioche and espresso.

We really enjoyed Cavtat which is a half an hour bus journey to Dubrovnik. Montenegro is also doable from there

Booked Athens in May ( to see Iron Maiden @ the Olympic stadium) and Marrakesh for July. Skint now.

I absolutely love Marrakech but unless I really had to I wouldn't visit in July, it'll be stifling. We went to Fez in July last year and it was just too hot to do anything until the sun went down in the evening

Athens is actually brilliant, so much history, proper grimy now though.

I was in Marrakech this weekend, despite being completely touristy is still quite fun. But that may be because there were thousands of Algerians livening the place up and crowding out the Western tourists farting and lounging at coffee shops. Try Chez Lamine Hadj Mustapha Jemaa El Fna, was v nice
