Currently in Ibiza. Beautiful in the right places, completely ruined in others. Great for a quick weekend away for us but I wouldn't want to spend much longer than that here.

What’s it like out of season? Is anything open? I thought the whole island shut down after closing parties. Although I notice Pacha have an nye night. Hard to imagine what that will be like

Yeah there's plenty open and lots of people here, just seems a bit neglected and run down which surprised me.

The weather is still great however which always helps, and it was cheap enough to get to, but a lot more expensive to eat and drink than other places over here.

Not sure we'd bother coming back based on what we've seen so far, but we still have a couple of days left.

Had a lovely week in Split last week. Great base to see the Dalmatian coast. Day trip to Dubrovnik - crazy busy still, and as expected not cheap, and visited Krka & Plitvice National parks. Second time visiting Plitvice, one of my favourite places on earth 🙌. Did the stadium tour in Split which was a decent way to spend half an hour or so!

Split is a great city. I remember when I first went there I thought I could happily live there a long time.

I mistakenly assumed that everyone does research for their trips. Everyone here, my real life mates and I always do a lot of it.

However, I'm currently away on an organised trip. Out of 40 people there were only 6 of us who hadn't got a full Chinese visa as our trip qualified for the new visa free option. The people who paid out £200-£500 each for a full visa weren't amused.... but hadn't looked it up!

Currently sat in Hong Kong harbour and not sailing on the ship I embarked yesterday due to a typhoon.

Montego Bay over the upcoming xmas holidays.  It was my last holiday (December 2019) before covid shut the world down.

Got back to traveling abroad last year and making up for lost time. Let's hope for no repeat of a global pandemic!

Absolutely gutted to see what's happened in Jamaica. Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel our vacation. Perhaps another time but hope they can rebuild.

Have just got back from 7 days in Nerja, Spain.

Lovely weather - 22 degrees and sunny every day.

Lovely old town with loads of shops and restaurants, and plenty of day trips to do around the area.

Great for walking.

would definitely recommend the area, and especially nice at this time of tear when the weather is so dull at home.

Southern Spain is just the best. So many good towns and cities, and offer much more than Barcelona and Madrid for me.

Right going to go beyond the Western curtain - Belgrade.

Anyone what's been any comments much appreciated.

A city that can go from ugly to beautiful quite suddenly. Great food and bars. Museum of Yugoslavian history is fun if probably a little too Yugonostalgic. Apart from that all the main sites and attractions will be the ones you've probably already read about.

Frigiliana is a 15 minute bus journey up into the mountains and it’s a beautiful little town. I’d definitely recommend spending a day here if you haven’t already been and plan to go back

Hope you've got £20K hidden behind the sofa.

Yea, we went there twice - lovely town.

We ventured from there into the national park for some walking too.

Will definitely go back at some point.

Its got a nice pool you can use overlooking the coast, tucked away a bit. Think its 2EUR for the day. Most Spanish villages/towns in that area have a municipal pool, they're great.

Had anyone been to Senegal or Gambia? I'm looking for a winner sun beach break early next year. Egypt and Cape Verde aren't necessarily warm enough in January so looking for alternatives without a long haul or indirect flight.

Booked a week in skopelos then moving over to skiathos for a week. Looked them up on booking.com  then contacted hotels direct and saved £300.

we visit Skiathos every few years, really nice island and skopelos is beaut. Beaches are incredible across both islands - we did a boat trip from Skiathos harbour which is semi-private (around 8-10 people on a sailing yacht- best thing we did all holiday) . Nice buzz in Skiathos town and some really really good restaurants.

We stayed Koukanaries which has won awards for its beach, nice in the AM but busy late morning/PM due to day trippers from greek mainland. free shuttle into Skiathos town was really useful.

Troulos is popular but a bit too brits abroad for us
