Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Said it ages ago and still think it. We'll finish 17th you are right Col
eunmac Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 16 games remain and 48 points for grabs. We probably need 23 pts; Here's what we need to do: - 8W 0D 8L = 24 pts - 7W 2D 7L = 23 pts - 6W 5D 5L = 23 pts - 5W 8D 3L = 23 pts - 4W 11D 1L = 23 pts
st albans fox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Well the trend in the second half of the season is for no result from the first half to repeat - that would probably keep us up!
Lasty Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 We'll end up with 30 points and finish exactly where we are now.
Foxey id Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 32 and one place above bottom of the League Burnley
kingfox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Was looking at this the other day, we probably need to win half our games.
bovril Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 We'll take it to the last two weeks but I think we'll go down with Hull and QPR. I hope Burnley stay up.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Was looking at this the other day, we probably need to win half our games. No way
hamptonfox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 On the evidence of the first 21 games, we will be relegated as we (a) cant take enough chances we create, and (b) we lose attention when defending too many times, make one or more mistakes at the back, and appear to throw away games, when generally competing well in them. On the evidence of the performance at Home to Stoke, we are relegated already, it was dire, no creativity, backwards passing, a keeper who cant kick the ball properly, and forwards who are ineffective. What other prem team would bring on Tom (sideways, backwards) Lawrence to try and win thee game, and leave Albrighton on the bench? He isn't going to make the difference positively to our results, so why is he at the club? What other prem team has a keeper who cant kick the ball? What other prem team would take Vardy, Wood or Nugent to IMPROVE their forward line, and score more goals (Villa aside, of course). We now have 6 tough games, probably we could get from 17pts up to 20 pts at the end of them, leaving us 10 games to get 18-20 points (ie 6 wins in the last 10 games) - Possible, but improbable, and our performances aren't better than 17 other teams this season. Hull could come down with us, and QPR or Villa.
Strokes Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Villa and QPR will come down with us I fear, If we put up a fight I will be happy.
weller54 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Hull, QPR, then it's between Villa and us I think?
Master Fox Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Hull, QPR, Sundrland, Burnley and Villa are a lot worse than we are. We're going to stay up.
ScouseFox Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 if we beat palace, hull, newcastle, burnley & qpr we'll stay up. not sure we will though.
Dan Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 It's amazing to think at least two of us, Burnley, QPR, Hull and Villa are actually going to stay up.
bovril Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Villa will stay up. They're like Jon Voight in Anaconda... they somehow keep surviving.
ScouseFox Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 It's amazing to think at least two of us, Burnley, QPR, Hull and Villa are actually going to stay up. sunderland have been garbage most the season, palace are a poor team too. there's about 5 teams that will be in this league next season purely because they weren't as bad as 3 others. such a poor quality league.
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 I think Burnley will fall off after saturdays defeat, QPR i just cant see winning enough of their home games to stay up, Hull look a weak outfit, and us! Villa could get into big trouble but i just reckon them, sunderland, WBA and Palace will just have enough to beat the drop. I think 35 points will be enough and after looking at the rest of our fixtures can see us getting 38 points.
The Doctor Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 QPR are goners - I've been saying this for weeks: they're abysmal away from home, only their home form has them still in contention, and their home fixtures from here on out are horrible. I reckon it's 2 from us, Burnley, Hull and Palace joining them, and I don't think we're as bad as Burnley or Hull, and could probably just eek ahead of Palace if everyone was fit. As it is, we're a couple of points from safety - win the next two and all of a sudden we're midtable: we're nowhere near down yet. I'd say 5 more wins (against those 4 already listed preferably) and 4 or so draws from the likes of Newcastle and Swansea should see us survive.
Benguin Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Hull and QPR are going down imo. As for the third team, I feel; aston villa, burnley, west brom, Us, Sunderland and Crystal palace are the other teams at risk. I think out of the "at risk" teams it'll be us and aston villa scrapping over 17th place. I feel palace will continue this run for long enough to get ahead. I hate burnley but I'm surprised how well they're doing. I think Sunderland will be helped by Defoe and look pretty busy if you believe transfer rumours. Not sure about West Brom, only watched their game against us this year. I'm going to watch tonight to see how I feel about them. Edit - I'm pretty confident well get 17th or higher though

This is a good league, with top games, in fact and unfortunately its city, next to Sunderland who have played the poorest, Cp, Qpr,Burnley have turned out good performances, we aint. Just cos it aint working for us, I deny anybody to say the PL is poor...sour grapes from Leicester.

The fact Sunderland & Palace aren't even being mentioned as well is hilarious To be honest whenever I've seen Sunderland this season they haven't actually looked that bad. I'm amazed they've only won three games.
st albans fox Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 liverpool, man city and stoke are qpr's toughest away fixtures. they may pick up less home points from now on but they will definitely get some away. and they have plenty of london derbys at home which are never as straightforward as they sometimes look to predict. we just have to concentrate on our own performances and hope we dont suffer too many injuries from now on in or sendings off. we cant afford to lose any first choices as the second wont be up to it
