Love this team, entertainers and very likeable lads too.

That exactly. No showponies no miserable individual, even when they miss out occasionally.

More importantly no panic.

One point, dont get on moen Ali's back, he also belongs to the new generation of youth.

Englands test side, must realise he is a Batsman that can Bowl. Not yet front line bowler.

England must bring in Rashid, at least to the squad.Root should also bowl 8-12 overs a innings, but not when its desperate.

Like Australia England test side must learn to rotate the odd faster bowlers.Wood, and Willy, must play at least one Test

Shame the next series won't be played with a similar spirit.

The Aussies are a right despicable bunch.

Hopefully it might be like the 2005 series which was played in pretty much the right spirit and had practically everything (including the right result  :trumpet: )

But if not, if they try to rile us...I think they might be in for a surprise given the level of confidence this team possesses.

What an absolute treat to watch this has been for the last month or so, I can't ever remember being so excited about a group of England youngsters, so much natural talent on the pitch it's unreal.

Moeen and Jordan aren't going to get much game time in the future, Rashid and Willey look far better than them both.

I really don't see the point in persisting with Moeen, I know they will, but everyone knows Rashid is a far better spinner and he has one that goes the other way which is so important these days, he'll be in the side for Moeen by the third test.

If Mooen isn't a front line bowler he shouldn't be in the side, his batting isn't upto test standard and we have far better options than him.

Agree with this. We need an attacking spinner, their batting is not quite as relevant when we have a fair bit of depth in that area anyway. Rashid is the better bowling option, and he can hold a bat up too.

Ryan Harris might not be fit for the 1st Ashes. Nice, he's their best bowler IMO.

Massive bonus for us if they lose Rhino, he's so consistent, he just keeps hitting the same spot over and over.

Would be interesting to see who they bring in if he isn't fit.

All it means is Johnson is nailed on to start, along with Starc and Hazlewood, depending if they will use Watson as a 4th seamer, or Mitchell Marsh, or both or the reliable Peter Siddle.

They are not short of quick bowling options, just a quality spinner, but Harris being out is a good thing, but they have the strength in depth for it not to be a major factor.

I think it's huge. Harris makes that attack potent, take him out and it's not nearly as strong. Their replacements just aren't anywhere near as good, Starc has yet to impress in red ball cricket and Hazlewood has only just begun.

Harris is a huge loss, early swing and never goes for many forcing you try and attack the other bowlers, massive miss for them if he's out.

Rashid in the squad for us, now starting to think he might get the shout over Moeen.

I hope he at least will get a look-in, at the very least we need to blood him in Tests before going to the UAE this winter as we'll sure as hell need two spinners there.

How much of our test side has played county cricket since the New Zealand tests? Shouldn't we be playing a warm up match against a county somewhere.

Touring parties always play warm up games yet the home side never does.

I was thinking that earlier today, I've heard Ali mentioned a few times but not a lot from Bell, Ballance, Broad and Anderson, I don't know if they aren't playing or just doing nothing of note.

Think Ali asked to play for Worcs to get some form back and bowl plenty of overs.

Ryan Harris has retired from cricket, feel for the guy. Big blow for the aussies but massive for us.

Massive blow for the Aussie bowling line-up.

Always extremely consistent, dangerous and could be relied upon to tie up an end while unleashing a strike bowler from the other end.
