Swarles Barkley Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 308 all out!! What a session for england. Well in control now with a 122run lead
RowlattsFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Finally shown we can clean up the tail. Score big now, plenty of time left.
leicsmac Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Firmly in the driving seat. Now we should look to accumulate quickly and build the lead - forecast not good for Sunday so could do with getting them back in reasonably early tomorrow.
Finnegan Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 If Bumble isn't everyone's favourite commentator then something is wrong with the world. Whatever chanel he's on will always be the best. I'd listen to him commentate on tiddly winks to be honest.
Ollie93 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 What does everyone think will be a good 2nd innings lead? 300?
Swarles Barkley Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 What does everyone think will be a good 2nd innings lead? 300? We get a 300 lead comfortably. I reckon 350 plus will do it taking unto consideration that there is still 2 and a half days of cricket to play

Bobby Hundreds Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Anything over 320 should win us it. Stokes, Buttler & Ali with licence to hit later on could absolutely ruin the Aussies.

fuchsntf Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Bell, once again turns his form around. The team and himself, were really under pressure today. Starc, Hazelwood were on top of their game after lunch Bell paying his dues again. Now both he and Root need to concentrate after tea, Those 2 Aussies will be out stalking wickets for 1st 5- 8 overs. Lyon will also be dangerous this evening. I still reckon a 400+ lead is necessary.....a) time, only 3rd day. b) Aussies have 5-6 batsman who can go big. 3) Wicket still ok.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 To be fair this is a classic Bell innings, scores pretty runs when there is little pressure on.
TheSomersetFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 To be fair this is a classic Bell innings, scores pretty runs when there is little pressure on. The '13 home Ashes where he won us the series on his own must've been really out of character
RowlattsFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 The pressure was on bell individually though, he's always been the sort of player who goes in and out form. Bodes well for the rest of this series if he gets a big score.
TheSomersetFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Root going at at pretty good rate almost effortlessly once again, fancy him for another ton here
Finnegan Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Something very weird about Bread of Heaven booming round the ground in the first test of an Ashes series.
Swarles Barkley Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 As much as I love Buttler, that was a bit of a silly shot to play when he has the power to smash it out of the ground
purpleronnie Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Really careless cricket, I hope we've got enough.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 They ain't chasing 400 odd. This must be killing them.
