ScouseFox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 hahaha kinda glad all our good batters got bored and got out so we could just crucify them with a number 10 mitchell johnson's figures
Corky Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 TMS shits on Sky for me, really wish Test cricket was reserved for terrestrial TV. I try to avoid finding out the latest score from the moment I leave work in the afternoon till the Channel 5 highlights come on too. They do a decent job with their coverage and it's nice to watch something "as live" in the evening. From a selfish point of view I'd like the commentary to be put on Medium Wave in some capacity, only get short breaks in the day and Five Live has Wimbledon and TalkSport just adverts. 412 should be more than enough.
Voll Blau Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Loved seeing Wood taking it to them. Think the Aussies are genuinely shocked by the way England have come out in this series. It's great to see, just hope it continues with ball in hand tomorrow!

fuchsntf Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 There is 2 days left.Australian Batsmen dont need to chase the Ball, it really does depend how disciplined can Anderson and Broad keep it, the 1st session. 412 is not a big score if wicket plays well for a couple of sessions. Australia have still a great top six, for all conditions, with last 4 capable of holding up. Australia may not play gung-ho..... If English bowlers turn up, like they did this morning, keep those same lengths.Aussies will be struggling to survive a complete day. That result however is still faraway. English Batsman, after Stokes, should have gone for it like they did, but could of afforded to still be conservative. Butler, Even Ali with tail, I believe could of picked up 30 runs more a piece by being still aggressive but selective in type of shot. Just some fine tuning really, no real complaints because this squad has it in them to take Test cricket to a next level. one thing that still doesnt change for Batsman, even the attack, non fearfull type.....shot selection, and timing thereoff. Lets applaud, but lets still be honest....289 should, could easily of been 320-350, margins just margins, but England want to be carefree, positive, but also ruthless, the last hour should of been ruthless today. Maybe, just maybe Cook should stay attritional and others play around him. Unlike some I like Ballance at 3, today he got a corka. He can hold up his side or he can up his momentum, he is more a free spirit than Cook, who can up his tempo. In this free spirit attitude Ian Bell still needs to be under pressure for his place, keeps his place for next game, but 2 below par innings in next test, Bairstow, or Rashid should come in, depending on wicket.

I know you said medium wave, but it's on 198 longwave which you might be able to get? I could have totally missed the point though

Simmo86 Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Bowling well this morning. Tough chance for Root and Bogan Dave somehow surviving.
Swarles Barkley Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Moeen just has something about him. Can get whacked out of the park the come back and take a huge wicket. Amazing people still dont consider him a serious bowler
marko Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Anyone else see Kumar Dharmasena quietly applauding Wood's wicket?
Matt Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Wow, I did not expect this at all. Now the odds on Australia winning the series might be worth betting on, still think they'll win the series but it's definetly going to be competative if this test is anything to go by, thought we'd struggle to get 1 test win but this has seemed fairly easy, unless i've jinxed it by posting this! Haha. Thing is we're probably playing at our best and Australia at their worst, won't be like that all series. This could should be all over with a day to spare. Unless like I said i've now jinxed it with my comments.
Corky Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Beautiful stuff, clever bowling, excellent tactics from the skipper.
foxfanazer Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Excellent performance. Root, Ali and Broad in particular
