It was a good ball but he must have known it was coming, he is incredibly susceptible to the yorker. I've seen smaller gates at Buckingham Palace.

Not sure about that. Everything was set for the short ball and Broad is susceptible to that too. Either way, it would have brought down far batter batsmen.

His all round batting is worse. I would argue currently, outside of perhaps home games, you'd now class him as a bowler as opposed to a few years ago when he was a genuine all rounder for a bit.

I think it's worth pointing out as well that broad and Swann batted well in a good test side where they would often come to the crease at 390/5 against a tiring fielding side.

Broad has deteriorated but facing a fit and fired up Mitchell starc bowling a ball like that is not easy.

If that's not dead then we need to be throwing for the run out every time an LBW is given now.

Woke up to see Finn's hat trick, fell asleep at 4 down but managed to see the last wicket partnership and the farce at the end.

Predictable really, Australia know how to thump us and they are the favourites. Morgan's form is incredible, four ducks in five innings. Cook might well be wondering what the fuss was all about.

Yup, confirmed by the Laws:

3.6 Dead ball

a) If following a Player Review request, an original decision of 'Out' is changed to 'Not Out', then the ball is still deemed to have become dead when the original decision was made (as per Law 23.1(a)(iii)). The batting side, while benefiting from the reversal of the dismissal, will not benefit from any runs that may subsequently have accrued from the delivery had the on-field umpire originally made a 'Not Out' decision, other than any No Balls penalty that could arise under 3.3 (g) above.

Poor Taylor, screwed out of a ton there perhaps.

Watching India v Pakistan just now.

The crowd appears to be unsegregated.

Have fun policing that...

Indian batsmen look like making 300 odd.

Strong finish from Pakistan. Can't see them chasing this. Might switch to see the end of the Zimbabwe innings.

Irish giving the windies a great game here, pleased to see Dockrell doing well I captained him once :-D

Not sure how much longer the West Indies will last as a cricket team. Wasn't long ago they walked out of a tour in India mid series.

Internal strife galore with contract disputes and politics..

Dreadful standards on the field...

He played in leics ? Or at uni ?

There is a lad playing in Harborough going to be playing for Scotland Rob Taylor

Stayed up to watch Ireland , was a fantastic result , Morgan should be playing for us

I'm delighted he is good enough for ECB but we could be a very decent side with him

Looks like we need to nick some more Irish players.

If they are good enough they will play for England

Issue is now Ireland is improving and it's becoming a game played outside the traditional urban areas If the standard rises then the likes of Morgan couldn't make that jump to England as there would be no excuse to justify it

Shows the progress Ireland have made that this result isn't a total shock, in the way Scotland beating New Zealand tonight would be.

Throwing a 23-year-old straight in as captain is a huge gamble by the West Indies, surprised Sammy isn't the leader. Think Ireland will get through at their expense.
