This was a team and game that shows we are not good enough to stay up....
BigWesMorgan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Hamer 6 - Decent apart from distribution Simpson 6 - Didn't actually do a lot wrong Wasil 5 - Not bad but the yellow meant he couldn't challenge for the whole game Morgan 5 - Standard Konchesky 3 - Too many bad moments Drinkwater 2 - Pretty damn rubbish King 2 - Pretty damn rubbish Knockaert 6 - Pretty good Schlupp 6 - Good take-ons and pace Nugent 3 - Not very good Vardy 2 - Very bad Ulloa 4 - Better than Nugent and Vardy Kramaric 5 - No service but some good touches Lawrence 2 - Good young player but needs to go out on loan again Stoke 5 - We made some of their players look a lot better than they actually are Ref 7 - Not bad Faith in Nigel 10 - In Nigel we trust
kingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Hamer 5 - One World Class save, but his kicking was terrible Simpson 3 - Moses tore him apart all game, looked weak & his positional sense was poor Morgan 6 - Should of done better when covering Konch for the goal, but tbh he was hardly tested Wasilewski 6 - Should of closed Bojan down for the ball, but hardly any threats came his way, bit rash at times though Konchesky 3 - Fed up with him, new LB is a must Knockaert 6 - Decent shift, helped out defensively at times, lacked pace though Drinkwater 5 - First half I thought he passed well, second half overran & was lightweight King 3 - Constantly weak, looked like a schoolboy at times Schlupp 6 - Constant threat first half, hardly saw the ball in the second Nugent 3 - Ran around like a headless chicken, some of his touches were woeful Vardy 4 - Worked his socks off again, but doesn't look like scoring

Did king play, or any of our midfield, they walk through us time and again. Nugent is a waste of a shirt, vardy not far behind, the other 3 defenders average. Pearson got his team and tactics wrong again, just when we seem to be getting somewhere. Stoke are bang average but we create nothing of note, and sat off them all game, we got what our performance and tactics deserved, nothing.

But dear God man hurry the fvck up with throw ins when we're losing 1-0. Wasyl 6 - Loses a point for the worst pass I've ever seen. Otherwise ok. Morgan 6 - ok. Zero threat at set pieces, why is he the one starting on the edge of the box attacking the ball whilst Wasyl is standing in front of the goalie? Bonkers. Konchesky 5 - here you go Arnautovic, please just run in to this space we've got here. Not his worst game in possession. Knockaert 7- Looked like the only one who gave two shits today. Some neat passes but missed our best chance. King 2 - Big fan but the invisible man today. Totally shirked responsibility in possession too - I appreciate the balance his keeping the ball brings but sometimes he's got to get his head up and pass it forwards. Drinkwater 2 - seemed totally incapable of passing the ball to one of our players without playing them into trouble. Easily knocked off the ball. Schlupp 5 - looks so dangerous until he has to engage his brain. Nugent 4 - might as well not have been there. Gets a 4 for running his nuts off as usual and nearly scoring a brilliant goal. Vardy 4 - not good enough. Subs: Kramaric 5 - some decent runs but let's call a spade a spade, he wasn't great. Can hardly blame him given we seemed incapable of getting the ball to him. Ulloa 4 - won a couple of headers but looked like it was an inconvenience for him to have to play. Lawrence 2 - Absolutely dreadful.

Simpson's distribution was dreadful today. Wasilewski 5 Stupid booking, even more stupid challenge on Begovic. Almost gave a penalty away too. Poor day for him Morgan 5 Seeing it live, I thought he was at fault for the goal. Don't know why he let Walters get to the ball first. Would have to see it again though Konchesky 5 Average Knockaert 6 Some lovely touches and worked hard Drinkwater 4 Gave it away so often, looked like a different player to last season. So poor King 5 Ineffective as usual Schlupp 6 Good first half but faded out of the game. Looked disinterested second half but maybe he wasn't fully fit Nugent 6 Not great. Great effort in the first half though Vardy 6 thought he was much better than the last few and was a threat with his pace. We lost any attacking threat when he went off because we started hoofing it forward and had no outlet. Ulloa 4 Cumbersome Kramaric 6 Showed some lovely touches. Let's hope we can give him service Lawrence 3 Pathetic. So poor today. Too much hoof ball giving the strikers no chance. Totally outmuscled in the middle of the park. Outnumbered there. Should have had 3 but I guess we only had 2 fit.

Lcfc_1995 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Both centre mids were definitely rated at 4 at the very best. We were very poor second half! Just got overpowered in midfield far too easily! Strikers who started were also a very poor choice and never looked scoring! However knockaerts performances are promising

Dan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 4's all round except for Pearson, Lawrence, Vardy & Nugent (3) and Knockaert/Schlupp (5). Stoke get a 7. One of the best sides to come here this season for me although they were playing a side who played into their hands. Referee a 5. Some questionable decisions but slightly better than the corrupt wankers we've had of late.

Another game, another Konchesky meltdown. Costing us vital points. Lawrence - Highly ineffective. Simpson and Was - Good defenders but distribution is an issue. Pearson - Cringed when I saw that Vardy and Nugent were starting together. Albrighton? Konchesky selected again. Bad day at the office for him and his staff. A new LB is beyond vital, without one we WILL be relegated.

Simpson was raped all game. I notice that he likes to tuck in and make the back 4 very narrow and expects Knocky to deal with the opposition winger. Often this seems to allow the opposition to double up on Knocky before he comes out to deal with it. I think he's been solid the past few weeks, but he was gash today.

Hamer - 4 Made some decent saves but distribution was just horrendous. Simpson - 3 Not sure if I'm a fan of him. All he seems to do is back off until another player comes in and tackles for him. Distribution was poor as well. Wasyl - 5 Solid for the most part although probably could have got closer to Bojan for the goal. Morgan - 6 Solid for the most part as well, and probably the defender that was trying to keep it on the floor for us the most. Konchesky - 4 Given the run around a fair amount, and just aimlessly hoofed it whenever he got the ball. Knockaert - 6 Decent defensive effort, no one made any movement for him to create anything with. King - 3 May as well have not been playing in the second half. Drinkwater - 3 Just doesn't look the player from last season. Schlupp - 6 Made some good runs and crosses, just a shame Vardy was the one in the box. Nugent - 3 Too slow with the ball and looked like he would lose it every time it came to him. Vardy - 4 A lot of huff and puff as usual, but just doesn't have the quality to match it at this level. Kramaric - 6 Looked fairly decent in his brief cameo. Ulloa - N/A Literally did nothing. Lawrence - N/A Needs to go out on loan again, looks massively out of his depth. Stoke - 7 Effective in what they did. Ref - 4 Consistent, but that was consistently allowing the Stoke players to have their arms all over our players, even remember one of their players having one of ours in a headlock when the ball was crossed in one time.

Wasyl 6 - another good performance. Morgan 4 - needs replacing asap. Most uninspiring captain ever. Konchesky 4 - decent defensively but ineffective going forward. Knockaert 5 - decent first half but wavered in the second. Drinkwater 5 - ok but looked shattered after an hour. Think he's injured. King 3 - completely bullied as usual. Must be the most basic player ever. Schlupp 6 - had a good first half and terrorised their defence. Probably tired in the second. Nugent 5 - tried to no avail. Vardy 3 - headless chicken who's not good enough at this level i'm afraid. Should take the 5m and run. Subs: Ulloa 4 - no service really. Kramaric 5 - looked like he definitely has something about him. Lawrence 2 - don't think he touched the ball at all. My only explanation for him coming on was that Pearson mistaked him for Albrighton and hoped that no one would notice after it was too late.

Not a King fan at all and today didn't change that, Simpson offers nothing going forward and to play with two full backs like that seriously hamper our attacking threat. Prefer De Laet even though he is probably weaker defensively.
