GaelicFox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 3 flare/smoke bombs I counted in last 5 mind, them lads on lower level must have been gutted up till first goal as their mother load of pyrotechnics was likely to stay in their underpants until Leo struck , and was captain america thrown out for holding a flare? Very impressed spurs had two fully kitted firemen on hand with a Blitz style red bucket full of sand on stand by to deal with the dangerous flares
promised land Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 I got told the dog you walk past during the numerous steward screenings was a sniffer dog for flares, smoke bombs. Some other London club this season. Then they frisk you down before the turnstile so how do these flares keep getting in, pure luck or are they inserted like a suppository?

pleatout Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Coincidence that someone on crutches was very near the folk with the flares? I've watched The Day of the Jackal.
johnny the fox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Coincidence that someone on crutches was very near the folk with the flares? I've watched The Day of the Jackal. was it upson?
AKCJ Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 I've always found it weird that adults get so worked up about pyrotechnics at a football game.
josh_baskin Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Was 1 of about 3 the nutter let off the stewards looked petrified!
VLC86 Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 was it upson? he is now out till next Christmas with a burnt thumb.
Harry - LCFC Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Don't understand why the stewards work themselves into such a panic when one goes off. What harm do they do?
VLC86 Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Don't understand why the stewards work themselves into such a panic when one goes off. What harm do they do? Health and safety laws/insurance I would imagine. Potential fire risk but I have no idea how they work so don't know how possible it would be to cause an issue that way. Either way, I'm asthmatic and can't say I enjoy choking on them.
C-man Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Don't understand why the stewards work themselves into such a panic when one goes off. What harm do they do? I was genuinely thrown down the aisle by a steward as they scrambled to find the second. Pathetic.
NewquayFox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 I had my dark blue flares on, with my lime green turtle neck sweater, quite fetching really.....
m4DD0gg Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Don't understand why the stewards work themselves into such a panic when one goes off. What harm do they do? What harm do they do??? Erm lots. For a start they burn at 1600 degrees! Have seen a flare been set of at a stone roses gig and loads of the phosphorus got in some birds eyes and it looked like her face had melted....was ****ing grim.
AspectFox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Worst.thread.ever That is a bit of a bold statement Mr SystonFox. Whilst I agree it is woeful, the worst ever is a bit harsh. Any number of the Kramaric is "God" type threads beat it into a cocked hat!
AspectFox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 I was genuinely thrown down the aisle by a steward as they scrambled to find the second. Pathetic. You need to bulk up then, too lightweight!
AspectFox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Don't understand why the stewards work themselves into such a panic when one goes off. What harm do they do? That there folks is what is wrong with letting children post on here without adult supervision!

They do yes but flares and smokes are different.
LibertyFox Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 They do yes but flares and smokes are different. Good luck explaining that to m'learned Judge... You may want read this and think again. http://www.fsf.org.uk/assets/Smoke-Bombs-Flares-and-Fireworks-Factsheet-for-FSF.pdf
Voll Blau Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 Looked cool. Cobbing them about is a bit stupid though, as is picking them up. Just asking to get lifted, especially if you're dressed as a superhero. Ben Hamer liked it.
