AoWW Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 A few mentions on Twitter of earth tremors in the Leic/Rutland area. Anyone feel the earth move?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Gunna be honest thought it was a large gust of wind moving the walls but I think I felt it
Unabomber Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 I personally wasn't that scared as I have done a lot of reading on earthquakes on Wikipedia, also visited the national history museum so knew it was nothing to be worried about. Shame I can't say the same for most on Twitter.
separator Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Yep, 3.9 on the Richter scale if you believe @LastQuake on twitter.
AKCJ Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Yep, absolutely shit myself. The first time i'd ever experienced one awake.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Loads of people in Coalville felt it. I felt nothing

Voll Blau Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 The weird thing is I actually did. I've still not advanced from Ready Brek. Bit of a Peter Pan when it comes to breakfast cereals.
Unabomber Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 I've still not advanced from Ready Brek. Bit of a Peter Pan when it comes to breakfast cereals. You're only as old as the person the breakfast cereal you are eating is aimed at.
Voll Blau Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 You're only as old as the person the breakfast cereal you are eating is aimed at. Good saying. Might start using it in everyday conversation.
Saxondale Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 The only other one I've experienced was the biggy in 08. This one felt more sudden and violent, probably because the epicentre is quite close.
GaelicFox Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 House shook quite a bit here in Harborough knocked a picture off wall Wife blaming my dodgy diy Lasted about 20-30 seconds
Unabomber Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Good saying. Might start using it in everyday conversation. Few more of mine "ex squeeze me" "wank you very much"
GaelicFox Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Epicentre Cottesmore Is there a RAF base still there ?
Saxondale Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Epicentre Cottesmore Is there a RAF base still there ? It closed as a RAF base and is now an army barracks.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Felt it, fourth I've ever experienced and the most mild, just thought it was someone with a noisy car going past, but without the noise... If that makes sense
StanSP Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 I didn't feel anything but my light flickered and then saw all the tweets about an earthquake in Leicester. I live about 60 miles from Leicester
Maybes Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Live in LE2. Felt nothing. Continued eating my starburst.
Vlad the Fox Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 Yes, the settee started shaking, i thought it was the dog flopping down against the settee or kicking his legs out then realised he was cooking himself in front of the fire. didn't here anything though as i had my earphones in. Was there one earlier as I'm sure i felt my ladder shake this afternoon? it could have been the wind mind though it did feel like a slightly different wobble.
Larry_LCFC Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 Felt it in Lincolnshire. Lasted about 10 seconds. Second one Ive ever felt.
