Finnegan Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Plaid. I'm not even taking the test, I really DO love S4C.
Alexikokopops Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Plaid. I'm not even taking the test, I really DO love S4C. **** Plaid, I'm all for Scottish Nationals. 44% Tories, 28% UKIP and 20% BNP didn't make it on there.
ADK Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 82% SNP 81% Green 77% Liberal Democrats 75% Labour 72% Plaid Cymru 34% Conservatives 33% BNP 24% UKIP
Benji Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Just highlights to me how little I care about most political issues.
MooseBreath Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Doesn't seem to have been updated though, otherwise it would have to have questions like "do you believe in celebrating diversity by actively helping to promote the interests of terrorists?" and "do you believe that the government should be able to decide what people are allowed to eat and that only vegetables should be allowed?" for the greens
Guest MattP Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 They need to seriously update this website. Same results as last time and apart from the Tories and Labour all the other parties have changed position on a lot of things quite significantly. UKIP have lurched to left on the NHS and the economy, Labour don't really have much policy anymore, the Greens are now apparently removing their pro-terrorism and income allowance after the famous Bennett interview and looking at the BNP website they've gone further right than the old NF under the new leader.
ADK Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I imagine they'll do it once all the manifestos are out.
Fox92 Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Why sadly? I don't agree with what Farage wants/stands for.
Webbo Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I don't agree with what Farage wants/stands for. apparently you do, that was the point of the quiz.
Finnegan Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 apparently you do, that was the point of the quiz. He could have answered that he's in favour of stricter immigration and most conservative policies (which would give him a high UKIP score) without wanting withdrawal from the EU.
Webbo Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 There are some strange results for sure. JTH is 20% more tory than me but also 30% more Lib dem, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
bovril Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I don't agree with what Farage wears, which is really the most important thing.
Webbo Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 He could have answered that he's in favour of stricter immigration and most conservative policies (which would give him a high UKIP score) without wanting withdrawal from the EU. I can't remember any questions about the EU. You have to wonder whether the people making this quiz have an agenda?
Guest MattP Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I can't remember any questions about the EU. You have to wonder whether the people making this quiz have an agenda? It's very kind to the Greens as well isn't it? All the questions relate to what would be there popular policy and nothing about the disgraceful fascist side of the party. I also like JTH score bizarrely high for the Lib Dems, only a couple of % off UKIP.
Finnegan Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 JTH has always struck me as quite libertarian, as does Baltimore. They're both quite socially liberal and fiscally conservative. That's how they come across, at least.

I also like JTH score bizarrely high for the Lib Dems, only a couple of % off UKIP. Eh, there's a lot of their nonsense in there about the environment (No to nuclear power despite it being pretty damn safe and clean in terms of emissions, no to GM foods despite hundreds of studies showing no danger from eating them, and being one of the best solutions to an oncoming global food shortage if population keeps increasing as it is). It does a fairly good job of pointing out that they're an environmental concern group, with policies based on what sounds scary rather than what is actually best for the environment.
ramboacdc Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Lib dems 76% Labour 74% SNP 72% Plaid Cymru 70% i did vote lib dem at the last election and looking at swinging to labour this election. so happy i got 67% UKIP and 41% BNP.
Merging Cultures Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 JTH has always struck me as quite libertarian, as does Baltimore. They're both quite socially liberal and fiscally conservative. That's how they come across, at least. That's interesting. I guess I am socially liberal, but I put it down to Conservative ideals for a less involved Government, i.e. people can marry who they want and people should be treated equally based on ability not race, religion, gender, or whatever. I do believe that the private sector can allocate resources more efficiently than the Government. However, I have also seen that certain vulnerable people require protection, and I believe that there is a minimum (and maximum) standard of provision that everyone should be entitled to. I also believe that the private sector (often with the Government) can develop false barriers to entry that will prevent other companies entering the market, and that there needs to be a certain amount of regulation/incentives provided by the Government to promote competition, but it is a limited role for Government. In terms of immigration, again I am somewhat Conservative. Immigration should be based on skills and what people bring to the country. People who visit the UK should have to pay for their healthcare, and we should deport people who commit crimes. I am an expat, to live in the different countries I've lived in, I have to adhere to strict rules, I have to have health insurance (primarily to get good healthcare at the moment, but when I was in the US it was mandatory), if I commit a crime I would lose my status. It should be the same for the UK, whether from Europe or not.
RonnieTodger Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 UKIP, closely followed by Tories Never even heard of Plaid
Jon the Hat Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 JTH has always struck me as quite libertarian, as does Baltimore. They're both quite socially liberal and fiscally conservative. That's how they come across, at least. Thanks, I like to think so.
