filbertway Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Well Bony can make my salary in just under one half of football. Go on Wilf!
ramboacdc Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 messi makes my annual salary in 8 minutes (9 if i get my bonus)
Danizen Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 It would take me 517 years to earn Suarez's salary. Even longer if I go around biting people.
Fox92 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 And to think the likes of Stanley Matthews used to have other jobs and turn up on the bus! It's amazing to see how much football has changed. Big grounds, money, teams coming in on blacked out coaches - I bet they never thought it would be as big as it now when they first started the game. When it was a working class game.
Benji Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 That's depressing. Main conclusion to be drawn from this.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 11 minutes for Ronaldo crazy 39 for bony... wow
Amin Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 You'd have to have started your job during the Crusades to earn one year of Ronaldo's wages.
Guest MattP Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 How good would it be to be Bill Gates and do this? "Cristiano Ronaldo earns 18.2 million a year, it would take him 500 years to earn your salary"
Xen Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Ronaldo earns a million in less than 10 hours Not sure where you got that from, 18.3m euros a year is 1m euros every 20 days, roughly. Still shedloads, though.
MikeyT Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I am currently a full time mature student at university, so based it on my last job which was an apprenticeship where I was getting £5000 a year. Based on this it would take me 3700 years and I'd have to have started in around the year 1685 BC.

"On your current salary, it would take you 4229 years to earn Lionel Messi's annual wage. If you had started in the year 2214 BC you'd almost be finished". Good to know!
Samilktray Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Be interesting to see how the average persons wage compares to NBA and NFL players
Fox92 Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Be interesting to see how the average persons wage compares to NBA and NFL players Do they get paid more?
Samilktray Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Do they get paid more?Im pretty sure the top earners in those sports earn a big amount, but I could be wrong.
Soar Fox Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 It would take Ronaldo 16 minutes to earn my wage It would take me 617 years to earn his yearly wage.
Guest MattP Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Do they get paid more? (MLB) Baseball players earn the highest salaries in the World by a mile. They have about the top ten positions in American Sport in terms of salary - Kershaw is the highest paid per week - just short of $600,000 a week. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_sports_contracts Although Floyd Mayweather clearly earns the most money of any sportsman on the planet.
