Guest Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 First half and those complaining about Pearson's selection must feel stupid. Nuge, Mahrez and schlup have been very very good. Schwarzer makes out defence look so much more solid. Simpson is scaring me to death.

Mahrez and Schlupp good outlets, Ulloa holdng up well, Nugent finding gaps. However - full backs woeful, especially Simpson, worried about that. We can win this

MC Prussian Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 We did a good job after the first twenty minutes of this first half. I thought we were too complacent and gave the ball away too easily. And it didn't look like we were ever intending to go forward with a particular plan - apart from having Schwarzer kick every ball forward, hoping for the best outcome. The amount of chances wasted in the second half of this first period shows that we can play football, but remain too wasteful. I hope it doesn't backfire. Should have taken the lead by now.

We've missed chance after chance which is exactly why we broke our transfer record for a goal scorer who is sat on the bench. Those complaining about his exclusion have every right to feel justified. As usual you're watching a different Schlupp to me. Nice control before he missed his best chance but other that he was appalling.

Nugent would be alright if he could finish. It's ok slating our full backs I think it's more their winger playing well. Certainly don't see De Laet doing any better against Zaha.

Sunderland won't go down anyway in my view. they have enough about them to snatch enough points to stay up with a couple of weeks to spare.
