5waller5 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Surely you should only take sides on who you believe is in the right? No point taking sides blindly just on the basis of club loyalty. You're not new to FT are you??
cjslcfc Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 This is becoming laughable. It's Dorsett to blame, It's Sky, Murdoch, Stringer, Radio Leicester, all the National Newspapers, Lineker, Radio 5 Live. Not one little bit of blame on the protagonist himself. Not a shred of truth in any of it. He wasn't sacked. It's all lies! The Pearson Religious Cult has spoken. Surely the protagonist is the one who supposedly sacked him...
Spicer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 MOTD were clowns and Nige rightly defended himself. Gary then tried to have the last say, being a bit weird about it. Before then wildly accusing the club of not being able to work coherently. Gary shouldn't have even responded Gary also has the right to defend himself, just like Nigel, which he has.
LanguedocFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 SSN stream http://cricfree.sx/sky-sports-news-live-stream Brilliant - thanks for that
MrSpaM Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if he resigns himself at this rate

The Pearson Religious Cult has spoken. what's issue with any of them RL's main guy is a bellend who doesn't conduct himself professionally and lets his personal agenda get in the way of his job & responsibilities, they get the short change they deserve from the guy Sky jumped the shark on a story, which turned out to be a non-story. Pearson conducts excellent interviews with Sky post-match And MotD did blow a touchline event out of proportion, what seemed to happen is that Pearson jokes with McArthur but he gets the wrong end of the stick so Pearson holds on to him as if to say 'hang on mate'.... Much ado about nothing, but Lineker & co have to fill their airtime with something If it was bad, Pardew would have jumped in or McArthur himself would have done more than just pull away
5waller5 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Please tell me what has Nigel done wrong in this scenario? He didn't start any rumours surrounding him losing his job and he never speaks about club business to the media. They are all hounding him and as usual he hasn't given them an ounce of material to work with. He's not a media darling so they are out to get him. I agree with that entirely .... This is really not his doing. (Well as long as you ignore the league table!) But the circus of misreporting and / or mishandling the situation by the club isn't his doing.
Spicer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 This. And in this situation, they're both to blame. If there was nothing in the incident, Pearson should just shrug it off and not even mention MOTD. Having said that, GL's first tweet was harmless. The 2nd (if it has any basis of truth) is irresponsible to say the least. He's a lifetime director of the club and should remember that. Would of stopped this from happening.
daddylonglegs Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Lineker has the right to defend his programme, but in the same week he described Pearson's actions as 'weird', he then brings up supposedly 'ITK' news which no one had heard before? A bit childish and a bit pointless IMO
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 This. And in this situation, they're both to blame. The last line exactly what I was thinking as well, extremely irresponsible in his position.
Jon the Hat Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 i lost a fair bit of respect for gary when he pimped his newfound fame to pull a young piece of fluff, its weird and creepy. he's now firmly in the same group as hugh heffner and steven fry with me, creeeeeeepy old men. What? Danielle is 35 not 21 you fool. And gorgeous.

Maybe he is remembering that and doesn't like what's gone on at all. Maybe this is his way of letting the fans know what's gone on behind closed doors and as a lifetime director he disagrees with it??
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What? Danielle is 35 not 21 you fool. And gorgeous. Had Gary been ten years older, gay and pulled a man who looks like a teenager it would be lauded as 'wonderful' a la Stephen Fry.
Stadt Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Oh yeah "banter". People mocking Nigel for saying he can look after himself are the same ones who would shit it if they got in a confrontation with him. Lineker can mock all he wants on twitter but he wouldn't say anything to his face. Nigel is a right tasty ****er, why do you think Pardew said nothing on Saturday? Because he wanted none of Nigel because he is and was a straight up bloke who doesn't suffer fools gladly.wot

Yes because until MOTD Gary Lineker was an unknown!!
AKCJ Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 How on earth people can take Nigel bleeding Pearson's side over Gary Lineker's is outrageous. You people are deluded, apart from Nigel achieving exactly what has been expected of him he has failed to over achieve in any aspect of his job and this legendary status he has amongst some fans is embarrassing and totally unjustified. I'm taking the side of the person who is right. Gary has no right to wildly speculate in that manner. It damages the clubs reputation quite drastically. As for Nigel's legendary status, like it or not, he's the best manager we've had in the last 15 years and he's seriously turned this clubs fortunes upside down. We're in the best position we've been for a decade and a half and it's got a hell of a lot to do with him. We've had 5 full seasons with him as our manager and in that time we've had two promotions and two play-off campaigns. Sick of the premier league part time wankers being unable to recognise that his achievements are astounding considering the position the club was in both times he's taken over.
ADK Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Pearson comes across as a man of principles but too stubborn for his own good. He's very much in the Clough mould in that respect. Think Lineker has come across as a bellend.

His bird I think is like 30 something, so hardly call it creepy...

Exactly my thoughts, which is why I respect him totally.
AKCJ Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Gary also has the right to defend himself, just like Nigel, which he has. He's not defended himself, he's being an arrogant cock. If he'd explained the punditry then you could have said he's defending himself. The second tweet is whats really riled me though. Absolutely no need whatsoever.
ADK Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Yes because until MOTD Gary Lineker was an unknown!! Quite true, we shouldn't forget his successful career as the face of Walkers crisps.

The names you've mentioned have all been blamed for printing false information and creating a huge amount of speculation and confusion. Pearson is responsible for exactly none of this.

The second tweet is whats really riled me though. Absolutely no need whatsoever. I think he's sick of the arrogance of the secret society that is LCFC ..... They have so bad relationships with the press and media that he's leaking what really went on. I'm glad he did. It's very out of character so he must feel pretty strongly.
ramboacdc Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 For those who can't access Twitter thank you for this also gary can jog!
