Burmesefox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Henry Winter @henrywinter 18s19 seconds ago Pearson on grappling McArthur: “It’s not helpful when the 3 fountains of knowledge on ‘Match of the Day’ make a mountain out of a molehill” haha, Pearson is so contrary. We all know he went proper mental and lost it.
leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What was weird about it for those that missed it? Wasn't weird more awkward.
Finn Claw II Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Very NP. If he was going to go I can't see why we would wait until after the Arsenal game - I mean if we somehow win can you sack NP? if we lose why didn't they just run with the media leak and get rid? I reckon he's staying, that or they are trying to make him quit.
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Hmmm. Not sure what to make of that. He definitely didnt look comfortable but I suppose that's to be expected. I've watched a few of these and he never looks comfortable, he always looks like he'd rather be elsewhere.
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Saturdays 'pathetic' result, that was down to our players not being able to finish and nothing to do with the way the team was managed... But how many times has that been the case this season? Far too many I'd say. As the manager it has to be down to him to sort that out. Whether that's by better coaching, or binning off the crap players that you appear to be putting all the blame on. There is just so much wrong at the minute, and I honestly can't see that he's close to fixing any of it. I'm not anti Pearson per se, Ive never had a problem with him in the way some Pearson outers have; I couldn't care less how he is with the media for example, and I really appreciate the good that he has done for the club. But this season is outrageously bad, and I think a change is needed. Or was anyway, probably too late now.
Captain... Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Nigel did his usual saying a lot of words to try and say nothing but in doing so revealed more than he wanted. Jose or Arsene would have dealt with it better, either just one word answers or refusing to say anything. I would rate that as a 0-0
cc_star Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 haha, Pearson is so contrary. We all know he went proper mental and lost it. Eh? Lad went into him, Pearson jokingly grappled with him, but McArthur took it the wrong way and said something, Pearson held on to him becuase of what he said... Where's the 'losing it'?
Corky Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 A lot of managers may've banned Dorsett or refused to speak to him but Pearson answered his questions (sort of) and avoided further criticism.
cc_star Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I've watched a few of these and he never looks comfortable, he always looks like he'd rather be elsewhere. In an empty room, starting a fight with himself
MC Prussian Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 haha, Pearson is so contrary. We all know he went proper mental and lost it. Err, no he didn't. He patted McArthur's upper chest and in the end, both smiled. Period.
psychonaut Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I've watched a few of these and he never looks comfortable, he always looks like he'd rather be elsewhere. To be honest I wouldnt be comfortable and I dont think many people would. Public speaking is _apparently_ more feared than death.

Pearson's job is to get us creating chances as a team, we had 19 shots on Saturday, and three or four tap in's that we failed to capitalize on, you can't blame that result on him
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Just it was awkward rather than weird actually.
Corky Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Just it was awkward rather than weird actually. Never going to be anything else really. Reporters asking about a situation that was reported as fact that appears never to have taken place.

Isn't his job to produce a football team that wins matches and accrues points? Also, his decision to keep Ulloa on for 90 minutes was nothing short of ridiculous. He was unbelievably poor! I Don't think any of the players have covered themselves in glory this season, but Nugent was 10 times better on Saturday than Ulloa was.

Can you remember what has been said on here previously when he has taken Ulloa off after bringing Albrighton on? He's been absolutely slaughtered for it.
st albans fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Sir Gary v Lord Nigel !!!! What are we to do ????
l444ry Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Should have just cancelled the whole thing. He had nothing to gain and came across as an idiot with something to hide. Embarrassing shambles!
stuartn27 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Just resign.then we can move on We are so bloody practicable how we play
tylesta Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Gary Lineker @GaryLineker · 3m3 minutes ago Ah Nigel Pearson is blaming MOTD for making a mountain out of a molehill. We'd best be careful in future, the fella can look after himself.
EnderbyFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Seeing Gary and Nige going at each other is like watching your parents argue, no-one wants to see that
