Gary Lineker

Think people have misunderstood this a bit.

Most people are criticising Lineker for his second tweet, the one which suggested Pearson had been sacked then reinstated. The first one was annoying but I can accept it.

Good point...

180 degrees..?

I knew what you were getting at I was just jesting

It goes for both Pearson and Linekar, to be fair , after the shit Pearson has said, I can't believe anyone has would stick up for him, the man has no integrity

Come on mate, to say NP has no integrity is outrageous.

Lineker comes across terribly on Twitter. Arrogant and snidey.

Doesnt take away what he did here as a player, and what he did for us at our lowest point.

Its perfectly ok to have an opinion on both matters as separate. Surely

Pearson has had a go at Lineker and Co for doing their jobs. All Lineker and Co have done is point out that Pearson isn't doing his own job properly and it's their job to do that so that makes it okay. Pearson has retaliated unprofessionally yet again by having a dig at someone (for doing their job at the same time as himself failing in his own job ironically), which has quite rightly given them fuel to add to the fire, and further proof Nigel has lost the plot. He doesn't make it easy for himself does Pearson.

That may be your take on it but it is a very strange version.Lineker has let himself down.

It is. For what it's worth I like Lineker on Twitter and I thought today's first comment was fine. A bit annoying as others have said, but it's his right of reply to NP's (correct, IMO) pop at MOTD. The second, however, is completely unnecessary and therefore disappointing.

Not relevant at all but I've met plenty of people who have met both Pearson and Lineker, apparently one of them is courteous, friendly and an all round decent bloke....the other is an up his own arse angry tosspot who nobody I know has ever had anything positive to say about him.  Like to guess which is which?

Both club hero's though no denying

You can't argue with the Linekerites they are delusional. Fancy worshipping a washed up potato snack salesmen over the manager of the club. I bet you would all start eating McCoys if he started advertising them.

I like Lineker and am thankful for what he has done but I'm confused at why he said what he said. As the most high profile supporter of the club surely he knew the press would be all over his comments to whack Nigel over the head with?

I'm not saying he should be silenced just that he should think about creating furore around the club that he shelled out to save.

People bored of hating on Stringer? I know, lets hate Lineker! Get a ****ing grip, the guy is a true Leicester legend, far more than precious Pearson!

So he's free from all criticism then?  How refreshing.

People are critical of what Lineker said as his comments could make it a tougher environment for the players and manager to work in.

I suspect you probably already knew this however and don't need it explaining to you. Instead of being honest you've decided to twist in to something that, although you know is untrue, made those of us who support Pearson look bad.

Pearson continues to shoot himself in the foot, but appears too dense to realise it.

He began the trouble, and the owners will know about this latest incident. Perhaps he wants to get sacked, rather than finish a job he feels he can't do, namely survival. Who knows?

The atmosphere around the club must be really bad, as it is here on FoxesTalk, currently.

It's become an almost daily battlefield on here, with feelings spilling over on both sides.

They must support Lineker more than they support the club

Nigel pearson, will not give a shit about this club in 2 years time, lineker on other hand!! Leicester through and through

If Nigel Pearson stays with the club another two years then he will have been a member of staff at the football club for a combined seven years.  The same as Gary Lineker.

All you linekerites support lineker not the club , your delusional

Mmmm who ain't supporting the club?? Even PEARSON still in charge now people are still supporting the club

He will not be here in 2 weeks, let alone 2 years lol

Gary Lineker is well within his rights to respond to Pearson.

Pearson tangled with McCarthy, Pearson then provided a rather 'unique' explanation to the situation which didn't really clear up matters. The MOTD presnters and guests commented on something of Pearson's own making. Pearson's sacking and 'un-sacking' yesterday had nothing to do with MOTD, to try and claim it did was nonsensical. Understandably Lineker felt he deserved a right of reply and did so. As Pat Murphy has said on 5Live, Pearson is creating a vacum by not answering simple questions about his actions, he cannot shift the blame on this one.

Not so, Charlie boy, I think you have put the cart before the horse. Pearson instigated it, and Lineker responded. More fuel to NP', funeral pyre. The Thais won't be happy.

Which trouble would that be exactly? Or aren't we simply blowing things out of proportion?

If you're describing a toss and a tumble as an "incident", I'd like to see how you're describing a daylight robbery to me.

What makes you think the atmosphere's bad at the club or within the fanbase? You're one of the few regular sour faces on here, if at all.

This messageboard has seen its fair share of healthy debate, so I don't see what's so unusual about it. Unless you're feeling a bit awkward for being the center of attention.
