Get an emulator.

 

I had an emulator on my iphone which had loads of games on including pokemon. Problem now is Nintendo is clamping down on the use of emulators but you can still get GBA4IOS to work now and again.

This is what i referred to in my previous post. Really good emulator but now Nintendo are cracking down on the use of gameboy emulators it can b a pain in the arse. It could work for a few days and you get really far in a game then it stops working and you need to redownload it which u lose ur save files.

 

Ashley, surely u can pick up a cheap gameboy colour on ebay. Also car boot sales you would be surprised how often you find old gameboys in good working condition.

I've got two working gameboys just want Pokemon blue or red now. I could only find Gold if mine, the rest are probably in the Garage somewhere

Edit: Played on Gold for about half hour yesterday just turned it on now saved game gone?

The old cartridges usually had a battery for save data, chances are the battery has died and taken the data with it

You can replace the battery in the cartridge. The Gold/Silver ones run out a lot quicker than the Red/Blue ones since it keeps track of time.

You should try out Pokemon Zeta/Omicron or Insurgence.

IV training is like their stats micromanaged and basically maxed out

If you do manage to get an emulator working then look for the pokemon hack games. Some of them are much better with better stories and starting the game with dragon types and stuff like that.

Pokemon Light Diamond is a decent hack. It's a bit cringe at times, but a lot of fun so far. 2 brand new regions and some interesting events.
