Best football in a City game this season

Over the years a lot of our fans have wanted to see us in the Premier League partly to see top players at our ground and enjoy better quality football.

If you put our problems to one side for a moment (if it's possible on here), including the obvious dig that teams haven't had to play well to beat us, what's the best football you've seen from an opposition team against us so far this season?

Also, have our best spells of football been better than anything you've seen from an opposition team?

Personally, I think the way we played in the last half hour of the Man United home game, the second half of the Tottenham home game and large periods of the Liverpool and Arsenal away games compare favourably with anything I've seen from our opponents against us.

I didn't see the game but it sounds like Swansea might have put in the best performance against us so far.

Obviously if you buy into this, it makes it all the more galling that we are in this position.

What are the best individual performances from opposition players as well? I'm struggling to remember anyone being that brilliant to be honest. Maybe Adrian at West Ham. Bojan for Stoke in the home game.

Was very impressed with how we played at Anfield, ref cost us, but in terms of Football we probably deserved the win and we're the better side for long spells.

Spurs at home was as good as I've ever seen us play, and lloris wasincredible that afternoon - hence losing rather than a comprehensive win.

The last time James and Drinkwater played together. Just saying..

Yep 2nd half v Man.U will never be beaten.

The chip by Maria was pur quality though.

TBF all we spunk up about the Premier League no ones been astonishing have they?

Although Gerrard was the difference for the scousers.

Imagine watching Gerrard a few years ago(even though I loathe Liverpool!)

The under 21s have played some decent stuff at times.

Get the ****ers all in for the next game I say!

Spurs at home and Arsenal away both second half we were tremendous.

United home obviously.

Arsenal at home was the most complete performance for me. Spurs at home also very good and I was deflated at the end. The Villa home game was the only game we've controlled all season but that says more about Villa than us.

First half against Chelsea was top stuff.

Agree with Spurs at home, how we did not win that was scandalous. Also thought we were OK first half vs Burnley at home,if an unpopular opinon. Liverpool away is high up there too

What about opposition teams?

No one really sticks out which again sums up how disappointing the year has been.

Swansea might be the best we've played and they weren't great by any means.

This really says it all about this season. I was really trying to think of a team who played well against us ( I missed the Swansea game) Hull and Stoke at their places weren't bad tbf when we actually luckboxed a win ironically!

Maybe I worded the opening post wrongly but nobody's coming up with much from the opposition or individual opponents yet.

Agree Lloris was superb in the Spurs home game.

Fvck the opposition. Wankers.

To be fair United were pretty good going forward up until they collapsed.

Even when we've been comprehensively beaten it's been more down to our tactics and shiteness.

Man Utd in the first half against us both home and away were very good. Poor in the second both times.

Everton played some very nice stuff here first day.
