After supporting them (rather casually) for around 30 years I’m finally off to see the Jets in the flesh today at Spurs today.

I trust you have been well and truly cured of the Jets after buying tickets and traveling to see that unbelievably limp excuse for an “effort”. You are hereby excused from supporting them.  No one should have to go through that twice. (Not even Jets STHs, who are certifiably insane.)

But anyway, welcome to the scam that is the NFL!

It was absymal, they keep finding new levels.

Letting the clock run out on the first half without throwing a pass to the end zone. A minute left on the clock in the 4th quarter and deciding that a 4th and 8 passing play from a QB, who had shown a resistance to pass the ball,  already been sacked 8 times (the 9th was about to happen!) and with minus passing yardage was the better option than  an ageing kicker attempting a 62 yard field goal.

I know people say you will love the experience but the Jets have a habit of killing the mood, £130 and i'm sitting there thinking "Why, why did I pick this team ?"

I've been to a couple of London games and really enjoyed it, but perhaps that's because I'm not invested in it like I am in actual football. Started watching NFL a few years ago and still have a few teams I kinda like but haven't found 'my' team yet.

Maybe it's better that way - I get all the stress and misery I need from Leicester!

Grandad Bowl didn't disappoint

Only watched the extended highlights but Grandad bowl (great name) was somehow one of the best games of the season so far.

That Broncos/Giants game was the best worst game I’ve seen. Was dire for three quarters then 46 points in the fourth. Mental end.

I was watching Redzone and Broncos couldn't complete anything!

Seeing the score now how the hell have they scored 33 in one quarter?!

After endless screen plays behind the line of scrimmage they suddenly went forward and put 295 (ish) yards on the board in that time. Were aided by a horrendous Dart interception in his own territory at a key time too.

I still have no idea how to process that Giants/Broncos game. Gave up on the Broncos about three times during the first three quarters but man, that fourth quarter was unreal. Even then it was a rollercoaster with the horrible DPI call, one of the worst of the year.

There are things I still don't like about this team though. We give up way too many penalties and Nix is only ever good when Payton stops being so conservative in his play calling. He has a bizarre amount of passes batted down too which is weird for someone who is alledgedly 6ft2. Still nice to be 5-2 but do worry about how good the Chiefs are starting to look.

Let the man cook. I think he's trying the find the right balance for Bo. But he plays better when he improvised. You could see that in the 4th quarter when it looked like the game was done.

Good win for the Packers in Pittsburgh tonight.

Bart Starr, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers all won the Superbowl with Green Bay when they were 27 years old. Jordan Love is 27 years old....
