Happy Fox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Coventry-striker-Marlon-King-is-wanted-by-Cardiff-and-Leicester-on-a-summer-free-transfer-article728129.html Coventry striker Marlon King is wanted by Cardiff and Leicester. King, 30, joined Coventry on a one-season deal last September after being released from jail and has rattled up 13 goals so far. He will be a free agent at the end of the season and the former Nottingham Forest, Watford and Wigan marksman will be in demand this summer.
Ric Flair Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Horrible. horrible man but would 'probably' do a job for us. Would prefer to steer clear though. Hope he leaves Cov, his goals have kept them up.
Kitchandro Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 You wouldn't just be buying a player, you'd be seeling your soul
Babylon Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 You wouldn't just be buying a player, you'd be seeling your soul I could just about live with it if he bangs in 20 goals and gets us up.
tomtom Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I could just about live with it if he bangs in 20 goals and gets us up. I hope your joking,... don't sign him sven please!
Kitchandro Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 To sum it up **** right off!!!! Now he really is a rapey seedbag
ScouseFox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 On personal grounds I wouldn't want him, but he completely dominated Bamba and Bruma when they played us
Sparky Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Impressed me down here this season, quality player who normally i'd be well chuffed about signing a player of this quality but just can't bring myself to back the move.
Adster Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Hate the guy, but he bags goals and I would have him here for nothing.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Nah, if he signs I'm gonna be seriously pissed off. Some footballers get accused of doing some terrible stuff, this guys actually been convicted and I wouldn't want to see him wearing a Leicester shirt, I'd rather have another year in the Championship than sign this guy.
Kitchandro Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I have always stressed the importance of being able to relate to players and the team, it's what football was based on and what it's all about for me. I don't like some players because they're lazy or they cheat, but this is on a whole different level.
StanSP Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I'd rather have Schlupp trying to make a name for himself at our club than have Marlon King at our club.
Ric Flair Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 It's a moral dilemma, which I had with Neil Warnock a few years ago. I can't help wonder though whether cutting your nose off to spite your face as a football fan is wise. It's bad enough as it is following a team like Leicester. I'd be more than happy to see that Westwood down here if nothing else.
dave_the_fox Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 I'd rather have Schlupp trying to make a name for himself at our club than have Marlon King at our club. Agreed
Tommy G Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Would love him here - quality player. He has a point to prove and is more likely to stay out of trouble than ever before. He is prem quality and the best striker I've seen at the walkers this season. People forget that he had some crap players supplying him, hopefully if we can bring some quality in midfield and give him service he would bang 20 in
Finnegan Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Warnock is a shit and a cheat but he isn't a complete scumotheearth. Even my liberal self doesn't want King here.
Dylan Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Only his reputation that's a problem. If it wasn't for this, there's no doubt we'd want him. He's consistently scored goals for shitty Coventry, and when they came down the Walkers he did will- completely dominated Bamba imo, winning everything and holding it up. He's got an eye for a goal, only his reputation lets him down. Would rather have Danny Graham though, looked decent yesterday- strong and holds it up very well. Surely a possibility as they're not going up.

Guest Bilo Posted 26 April 2011 Posted 26 April 2011 Marlon King is an absolute scumbag, goals or no goals. Don't want him here and even my singing-all-game self wouldn't be shouting his name from the terraces. I doubt most of our fans would much take to him either, or the players. I can't imagine you'd fancy sharing a dressing room with a man convicted of numerous attacks on women.
