The only glimmer of hope I have for next season in the championship is seeing some boys from the academy properly cement their places in our squad - the likes of Alves and Nelson in particular, but hopefully others such as Monga too.

Excellent loan for him if true and he gets good mins.

Hopefully it’s just a case of not accepting their first offer, which would be sensible - as long as we’re not making ridiculous demands - which is my worry

South Devon for me. Got far more into going to away games in recent years truth be told - only go to a handful of home games per season.

I’ve not purchased any merchandise this season, and have only done a couple of Cat C home games in A1 at the cost of £33 (only time a home ticket is remotely reasonable in price). Other than that it has been away games only with capped ticket prices. There’s been a few Saturdays this season where I’ve made the conscious decision to not pay £50 odd (plus travel) to watch City at the KP, and have opted to pay £18 and watch my local side, Torquay, instead. Cheaper, often more enjoyable, and you know the money is going to a club that really needs it after nearly going bust last season (the new owners are doing an excellent job this season thankfully). No brainer really, sad as it is.

He’s been fine on the whole. Put it this way, we have the current version of him in goal instead of Ward in 22/23, we stay up.

Big questions after tonight. He doesn’t have much at his disposal, but honestly some of his decisions are odd.

I actually think his attacking qualities would make him a really good fit for Ruud’s system - he has the ability to provide width and be a threat with Facundo drifting inside from his starting position. If the fee was sensible, I’d certainly take him.

Think Cannon will be sold for somewhere around £8m, otherwise it’ll be loans out and maybe a small fee if we let Iversen go. I don’t think anybody will want any of the other players we would consider selling. Maybe Kasey to a championship club for £3m or so but I don’t even see that happening. As others have said, spend the money and if we were to go down I suspect we sell Hermansen pretty promptly in June.

I usually feel we’ll lose, so fairly well this season I’d take a draw if offered it now too for what it’s worth.

I have a feeling we get something here. 2-1 City (Vardy and BEK).

Rogers just got a a yellow for Villa which now apparently means he misses this - good news for us.

It’s a mistake that he’s unfortunate to be punished for, wasn’t helped out at all. He’ll learn from that and be better for it, nothing to worry about as he was very assured otherwise.

Really decent keeper. No.1 next season if we do go down.

In terms of match sharpness there won’t be much of a difference between Jakub and Ward anyway, only training time. No brainer that if Mads is out, Jakub starts.

Just the 7 hour drive back tomorrow Shambles - how Danny Ward has been allowed to play for us again in the PL is beyond me. Midfield woeful and wingers totally ineffective. Expected defeat but that was abject.

Yes he’s not good enough, I think that’s clear to see. But it’s not like he’s picking himself, he’s giving 100% and is a local boy also. Back him whilst he’s on the pitch, I suspect we won’t see too much more of him as a starter, especially once we’ve had the chance to add to the squad in January.

If we stay up, he’ll fund a lot of our summer spending. Absolutely magnificent keeper who is well on his way towards being world class. Pleasure to have him here for now.

Mads Choudhury Faes Vestergaard Kristiansen Winks (if fit, Ndidi if not) Skipp Facundo Bilal Mavididi Vardy Faes seems to play better alongside Vestergaard, and I think JJ is the more pressing issue that needs taking out of the side immediately. Coady over Faes won’t fix anything - he’s just as bad with the potential to be worse.

Need a minimum of 4 starters to come in in January, which will be a very tricky task. The worry for me is I look at our squad and who can you truly say is premier league quality? Hermansen, Winks, Vardy (just about which is testament to him), Fatawu (injured), Facundo (not ours). You could make arguments for Mavididi and potentially BEK too but it’s too early to tell. We need an entirely new defence, a new midfielder, a new striker and a winger to replace the loss of Abdul. We need to identify 3/4 of those 7 that are priority in January and hope we have enough - it’s a big ask.

RVN would be a big risk. Will of course back him if he comes in and it would be infinitely better than the Cooper appointment.
