Suspect confidence took a knock after the Liverpool and Man City games. We seem to have slowed down and look tentative and I wonder if it is fear of making mistakes.Players looked gutted after Norwich don't think it is lack of motivation. Losing Wilf and Jamie carrying injuries has not helped. We will need both back to have a good chance of beating an aggressive pressing team like Villa - but if we play like we did against Man City at home perhaps with that formation I think we can do it.

Sheff U have several winnable games coming up Brighton Newcastle etc so going to be tight if we do not perform at our best

Could do without this result. Not taking Champions League for granted just yet. I know we should be looking up not down but we have looked nervy of late.
-
The players look tired and sometimes short of ideas at the moment and of course Vardy is not 100% fit Would like to see another winger or striker to freshen things up plus a CB- I am surprised we have not used our position and Champions League ambitions to lure someone with real quality - maybe something will happen at the last minute but not hearing anything of substance,.

Got tickets for Bryan Ferry at De Montfort on Monday 9th also working until 2.30pm for the Chelsea game. I know how important Sky money is but it is still very irritating as a season ticket holder every year when this happens.

Lingard looked a decent player in that Charity Shield match against us in 2016 but for some reason has not progressed as might have been expected. A valuation of £40 million now is way too high for a player who is not a regular first team player and has not scored this season. I am not sure he would be a regular for us and we would lose our main playmaker so it would be madness In any event I'm sure Maddison is happy here and if we get a Champions League spot I think he will stay for at least another season Unless there is something more believable agree close thread

Lovely to see Perez and Gray have good games yesterday. They have had their critics on this forum in recent weeks. We at least know that there are options and that the regular first team need to be at their best to keep their places. However good Liverpool and Man City were over Christmas we looked tired and Brendan was brave in making so many changes.
-
We are not the Man Utd training academy - would be amazed if either player goes in the next window. Maddison is our playmaker and I think he will stay for a year or two yet as long as Rodgers is manager. Why would they want to join United anyway - I think they are more likely to go down than get in the Champions League
-
Good deal. Great player but we have sold at the top of the market. Bring in a replacement for around £30m and maybe an attacking midfielder such as Ziyech and that is a superb window.
-
Getting business sorted early in this window.Excellent signing of one of the best young players in Europe.

I'm not convinced by the Telegraph article that interest has cooled in Tielemans. However £40 million and no decent offer for Silva might make the club think about options as there are other priorities and we don't want have to balance the books by selling. If we had to sell Maguire would probably attract the biggest fee and would be the one to reluctantly let go - I would be worried if Chilwell went as he is part of our fantastic young core of players aged around 21-22 who we would all wish to develop together. Ricardo would also be a big loss if sold on. Would not be surprised if Monaco are waiting for a bidding war- however IMO few clubs even in the top 6 are likely to take a risk at the £40 million mark.

Sounds like a classic championship LCFC summer signing after Maguire and Maddison in previous years. The Hull fans certainly rate him.Not the target man with proven PL experience that might provide an alternative threat to Vardy in some games where teams sit deep but looks a decent finisher. Would be keen to take him but still think we need a big centre forward of the Rondon/Mitrovic type if there is enough in the kitty after a Tielemans bid..
-
I am a bit concerned about the amount of time this player has been on loan - scored very few goals until this season.20 million sounds over priced and a lot much than he would fetch in Italy. Rather spend that and a bit more to get someone like Wilson or failing that Mitrovic/Rondon etc etc.I don't know how much money we have spent finding someone to work alongside Vardy and this sounds like another gamble if true.
-
If we finish the season on a relative high I cannot see Chilwell leaving - he is still very young and improving along with close mates like Gray Maddison etc.He has been with the club a long time. Much more likely that Maguire will go IMO and the push then would be to secure Tielemans, although suspect that won't be easy

The BBC post match interview was a bit odd, perhaps I'm wrong but Puel seemed to play down Vardy's importance in the club, and his contribution in the last half hour of the game. This was the classic sort of game for Vardy to start- away against an attacking side leaving some space to exploit.Having said all this we played well and very unlucky so you do feel for Puel, who should have been celebrating a good away point at least. However, time is running out to turn things around, and the next couple of home games are going to be crucial in terms of the managers future and keeping the club safe from an anxious run in.
-
He needs a goal or two to calm his nerves but against 2 quality sides he has looked a massive threat. Would keep him in the side
-
I don't think Ben Chilwell will leave in the summer. He has only established himself this year and has long links with the club.I think we might allow one of our better players to go most likely Harry Maguire, particularly if we end up in mid table with little to play for and no chance of Europe.
-
Needs to play every week.No coincidence that results have improved having a player that can run tackle and press teams back.He was everywhere today and we look a lot more solid with him in the team.I think he is more than just a defensive midfielder
-
Gives 110% versatile and quick.Turning into a brilliant signing
-
Thought he was standout player before he scored and the goal was the icing on the cake.Brilliant at both ends of the park limitless energy
-
Talk about Ndidi being doubtful for Chelsea.Surely Hamza can be given a run in the first team.He was the one major plus on Tuesday night. Why ship him out on loan when we need a powerful combative young midfielder.
-
Vichai has been a wonderful owner of this club and has treated the fans as members of his family. His contribution and commitment to the club has been second to none.I cannot remember a negative comment about the owners on this forum even in difficult times .If our fears are confirmed he will be hugely missed and our thoughts are with him ,his close family and of course anyone else lost in this terrible accident.
-
All managers coming in so close to a title winning season are to some extent on a hiding to nothing Add to that the inconsistency in performances with brilliant half hour spells in games against United,Arsenal and Liverpool which we ultimately lose just adds to the frustration.I think we have the core of a very good young side but overall lack stamina and decent options on the bench. The managers future will depend on the next 4 or 5 games non of which will be easy but pressure will be on to get results.I hope he can turn things around but my gut feeling is that he will be gone by Christmas

Leicester 1- Everton 2 post match thread.
Edingleyfox replied to Webbo's topic in Leicester City Forum
Teams with pace have worked us out, done their preparation, and we have looked vulnerable at the back particularly on the central/right side in just about every home game this season .Not sure it is just starting slowly I think some nerves have crept in and it seems to be a recurring issue discussed after every match. For some reason Maddison was quiet today and I believe when he was at Norwich he had a spell on the wing and was less effective.Juggling him and Nacho for the no 10 role is not easy but it was not working today.Tactically some changes are going to be enforced and others needed.Thought Chilwell was our best player and Ricardo took his goal.well and for about 15 minutes in the second half we looked great and in command so not all negatives.Heads dropped after the sending off. Everton deserved it overall,we could have been 2 or 3 down early on although we had our chances Still frustrated though after the decent previous week and not hopeful about the Arsenal game. I
