desertfox2 Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Just been reading another post about the best player that we've had and it got me thinking of the best 90 mins from one of our players. Stan Collymore against sunderland stands out for me. Must be loads but can't think of many better than that.
DB11 Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Gallagher had a few good 90 minutes, especially when he scored hat trick.
Babylon Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Heskey versus Villa in one of the cup games Was going to say Emile had some brilliant games. Lennon as well, always difficult to remember a full 90 though. Palace play off game for Lennon sticks in my mind, but that's only because the game meant so much and it makes it memorable. I'm sure he must have had better.
The whole world smiles Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Simon Grayson V wimbledon in the coca cola cup semi final second leg and that was 120 minutes, Larry was Inspired that day!
desertfox2 Posted 8 April 2015 Author Posted 8 April 2015 Vardy v Man U Yeah that's definitely got to be one of the best. Especially as it was against Man U
narboroughblue Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Simon Grayson V wimbledon in the coca cola cup semi final second leg and that was 120 minutes, Larry was Inspired that day! This one was good but also Pontus's man marking job on Juninho in the cup final springs to mind.
The whole world smiles Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Kaamark against Juniniho in the cup final Great shout!
narboroughblue Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Kaamark against Juniniho in the cup final Beat me to it
desertfox2 Posted 8 April 2015 Author Posted 8 April 2015 This one was good but also Pontus's man marking job on Juninho in the cup final springs to mind. Forgot about that. Good shout
davieG Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Seem to remember Tommy Wright in the 5-0 thrashing of Cambridge Play offs 1992
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Vardy versus Man Utd, he had their pants down all afternoon. Really was excellent
ScouseFox Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 obviously the recent one is vardy vs united, he got 4 assists and bagged the crucial fourth goal, as well as getting one of their defenders sent off by just ruining him all afternoon. he was sensational. think i've given lloyd a few 9.5s and 10s in match ratings threads over the years, when he was on it for more than 20 mins a game he was ridiculous. can't think of one to pinpoint though, when we beat ipswich 6-0 a few seasons ago i remember not hoping but genuinely expecting him to score or set up a tap in for nuge every time we got the ball to the left. i remember being utterly in awe of how good matt elliott was in the wortho final too. can't remember if that was just cos he was a defender who scored twice to win us a cup and i was about 6 years old, or whether he was genuinely amazing.

EDIT: so good in fact my computer seems to want to quote your post 3 times...
MPH Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Collymore's debut hat-trick was a pretty good performance too....
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 How about Stevie Howard away in the Playoff Semi against Cardiff. The man was a mountain that day, and he did it for 120 minutes not just 90, as well as slotting his penalty in.
city187 Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Kaamark against Juniniho in the cup final Legend what a performance.
Dan Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 I'm honestly struggling to top Vardy v Man Utd. Sensational. As a young-ish fan I'm going to chuck Knockaert v Huddersfield into there. Will I ever see a better brace? I doubt it.

Corky Posted 8 April 2015 Posted 8 April 2015 Vardy's had some phenomenal games for us but the Man United one tops everything for his all round contribution and impact. And the whole ground seemed to sing his song for a good five minutes after his goal.
